History and profile

The first issue of Square Mile was published in July 2005. [2] The magazine was launched by Square Up Media in London, which was founded by Tim Slee and Stephen Murphy. [3] It was taken over by Threadneedle Media in 2020. [4] The magazine is edited by Mark Hedley, who helped launch the first issue – and has worked on every issue since. [5] Hedley won Editor of the Year 2014 at the PPA Independent Publisher Awards, [6] and was shortlisted at the BSME Editor of the Year 2015. [7] He is now managing director of Square Mile's publisher, Threadneedle Media.

It is sold worldwide as a physical magazine, and as a digital download for the iPad and iPhone via the App Store, and for Android devices via the Google Play Store. The first issue of Attitude appeared in May 1994. A separate Thai edition was published from March 2011 to April 2018, a Vietnamese edition launched in November 2013, and editions in Belgium and the Netherlands launched in February 2017.

Stylist is a magazine for women that is published in the United Kingdom since 7 October 2009. There is currently a monthly print edition, as well as a website and weekly newsletters.

Coast is a consumer magazine about the British seaside. It was launched as a bi-monthly title in 2004 by Coastal Living Ltd, and was then published by Edisea Ltd, until UK publishing company National Magazines bought it in 2005. National Magazines continued to publish it bi-monthly as a sister title to Country Living magazine. It increased the number of issues published per year to ten in 2007. The magazine was taken over by current publishers Kelsey Media in November 2012. The number of issues published per year was increased to twelve in 2014. <i>The Sunday Times Travel Magazine</i>

The Sunday Times Travel Magazine was a monthly British travel magazine. Although part of the same company as the weekly The Sunday Times travel section, its content was entirely different. The magazine published travel information, features, competitions, offers, and photography. It was established in February/March 2003 as a bi-monthly magazine, changing to a monthly frequency in 2005. As of 2014, the magazine has a limited online presence, with less than 5% of its content available to view online. The remaining 95% is published exclusively in print. The magazine's last issue was October 2020.

The British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) is a professional association of print and online magazine editors in the United Kingdom. Established in 1981, as of 2016 the BSME has 148 members. Its annual awards—the BSME Awards and the BSME Rising Stars Awards—are highly regarded in the British magazine industry.

Shortlist Media was a publisher and media platform based in the UK. Founded in 2007, Shortlist Media published magazines, ShortList and Stylist, and digital brands, Emerald Street and Mr. Hyde. In 2018, Shortlist Media announced that it would be rebranding as The Stylist Group, and shifting focus to expanding its Stylist brand. The Stylist Group is wholly owned by a Scottish publishing company, DC Thomson. Ella Dolphin is the current CEO.

Farrah Storr is a British journalist, and the editor of the UK edition of Elle. She previously worked on several UK magazines, winning a PPA Award and a BSME Award in 2018 as editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan. Storr wrote The Discomfort Zone in 2018.

<i>OutThere</i> British LGBTQ travel magazine

OutThere magazine is a luxury travel magazine and an independent media brand, founded in 2010 by Uwern Jong and Martin Perry. OutThere's content is distributed across a number of platforms, primarily its quarterly printed magazine and also on its website and social channels.
