Squash, sometimes called squash rackets, is a racket-and-ball sport played by two (singles) or four players (doubles) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow, rubber ball. The players alternate in striking the ball with their rackets onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court. The objective of the game is to hit the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. There are about 20 million people who play squash regularly world-wide in over 185 countries. The governing body of squash, the World Squash Federation (WSF), is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and the sport will be included in the Olympic Games, starting with the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The Professional Squash Association (PSA) organizes the pro tour.
The World Squash Championships are squash events for men and women organised by the Professional Squash Association. The men's event was first held in 1976 in London, England and the women's was inaugurated in 1976 in Brisbane, Australia.

The WSF World Team Squash Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation (WSF) and played between teams representing different nations. The competition is held once every two years, with the venue changing each time. Normally the men's and women's events are held in different years in two locations.

The individuals event are held annually starting from 2009 while the team event remains biennial.

Between 1992 and 1997, the tournament was formerly known as the Qatar International. The 2013 Men's World Team Squash Championships is the men's edition of the 2013 World Team Squash Championships, which serves as the world team championship for squash players. The event was held in Mulhouse, France, from June 9 to June 15, 2013. The tournament is organized by the World Squash Federation and the French Squash Federation. The England team won its fifth World Team Championships beating the Egyptian team in the final.
Paul Daniel Coll is a New Zealand professional squash player. In March 2022, he became the first New Zealand man to achieve a world ranking of World No. 1. He is a two times British Open champion, having won this tournament in 2021 and 2022.
The 2015 Men's World Team Squash Championships was intended to be the men's edition of the 2015 World Team Squash Championships, which serves as the world team championship for squash players. The event was scheduled to take place in Cairo, Egypt from December 12 to December 18, 2015. However, at short notice, it was postponed in the wake of several team withdrawals arising from security concerns and a bomb attack in the Egyptian capital that resulted in 16 fatalities.

The team competes in the Ivy League within the College Squash Association. It is the second oldest squash team in the country, only after Yale. The university first fielded a team in 1923, under the leadership of head coach Harry Cowles. Harvard squash is arguably the most prestigious program in the country, with 42 national titles since 1942. The current head coach is Mike Way. The assistant coaches are Luke Hammond and Hameed Ahmed, while the strength and conditioning coach is Beth Zeitlin.

The team competes in the Ivy League within the College Squash Association. It is the oldest squash program in the country, dating back to 1920. Since 1942, Yale has won 13 national titles, only after Harvard and Trinity. Currently at the helm since 2021 is head coach Lynn Leong.

The team competes in the Ivy League within the College Squash Association. The team was established in 1956. They play at the Belkin International Squash Courts at the Reis Tennis Center. The head coach is currently Australian former world number 1, David Palmer.
The 2019–20 PSA Men's World Squash Championship was the 2019–20 men's edition of the World Squash Championships, which serves as the individual world championship for squash players. The event took place in Doha, Qatar from 8 to 15 November 2019.
