Shritej is an Indian actor who works in Telugu-language films. He came into limelight with the 2019 film Lakshmi's NTR directed by Ram Gopal Varma where he essayed the role of Nara Chandrababu Naidu. [1] [2] He was also cast in Nandamuri Balakrishna's NTR: Kathanayakudu and NTR: Mahanayakudu as Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. in Lakshmi's NTR.

Early career

He started his career as an Assistant Director in 2006 and worked for the films Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule (2007) [3] and Mounaragam. Later he worked for the Government documentaries and some temple documentaries till 2013.

Film career

Shritej started his career in 2013. He played the role of Devineni Nehru in the Film Vangaveeti. [4] He played the role of late Y. S Raja Shekar Reddy, former Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh [5] [6] in NTR: Kathanayakudu and NTR: Mahanayakudu . He later gained prominence with his portrayal of Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the 2019 film Lakshmi's NTR, directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

In an interview, he stated that NTR, Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja were his inspirations. [3]

Nandamuri Balakrishna also known as Balayya or NBK is an Indian actor, film producer and politician known for his works in Telugu cinema. Balakrishna is an elected member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Hindupuram constituency since 2014. The sixth son of actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao, Balakrishna made his debut as a child artist at the age of 14 with the film Tatamma Kala (1974). Balakrishna is a recipient of three state Nandi Awards, three SIIMA Awards, and the IIFA Award. In 2012, Balakrishna was the chief guest at the 43rd IFFI. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute in Hyderabad.

The 1996 Indian general election in Andhra Pradesh were held for 42 seats in the state. The result was a victory for the Indian National Congress which won 22 out of 42 seats. This was the first election contested by the TDP since its leader Chandrababu Naidu ousted the party founder N. T. Rama Rao in a palace coup in August 1995 and the latter's untimely death a few months later.

Nandamuri Taraka Ratna was an Indian actor who worked in Telugu cinema. After his debut in Okato Number Kurraadu (2003), he acted in several films as the lead actor and a few as the antagonist. He was a member of the Nandamuri family which is influential in Telugu cinema and politics. Taraka Ratna was also an aspiring politician from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, rooting for the Telugu Desam Party. He died on 18 February 2023 at the age of 39 at Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, following severe health complications.

Vyuham, also known as Vyooham, is a 2024 Indian Telugu-language biographical political thriller film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film revolves around the unexpected events that led to the untimely death of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and the subsequent events surrounding the creation of the YSR Congress Party, led by his son Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The first part of the film was theatrically released on 2 March 2024, and the Part II titled Shapatham was supposed to release on 8 March 2024.
