St. Catherine's Church of Lomice, North Dakota, near Whitman, North Dakota, United States, was built in 1936. It was designed by architect Joseph Bell DeRemer in Late Gothic Revival style. It has also been known as St. Catherine's Catholic Church, as St. Catherine's Church, and as St. Catherine Church. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. The listing included one contributing building and four contributing objects on 5 acres (2.0 ha). [1]
It has a large grotto and three small grottoes. The church was founded by settlers from Bohemia in Czechoslovakia. [2]

The Church of Saint Mary's is a 1909 Beaux-Arts Catholic church, located at 8433 239th Street East, New Trier in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The bright red building sits high on a hill overlooking the town, which was settled by German immigrants from Trier. The immigrants began arriving in 1854, and in 1857, they built a log church. In 1864, they built a larger stone church on a hill above the town.

Jacob M. Nachtigall was an American architect active in Omaha and eastern Nebraska. The surname is sometimes spelled Nachtigal. He designed numerous Catholic churches and other buildings in Nebraska. Nachtigall was born in Germany in about 1874 and came with his family to the U.S. in 1883. He apprenticed under Thomas Rogers Kimball during 1900–1908 and went independent in 1909.
