St George's College is a private, bilingual, co-educational learning institution located in Quilmes, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. [2] It was founded in 1898.
The school's main sports are rugby union and women's field hockey. Apart from those activities, St. George's also hosts association football, athletics, basketball, cricket, golf, swimming, tennis, [3] handball and volleyball. [4]

Alumni of the school, known as Old Georgians, [5] include Rhodes Scholars who attended Oxford, Cambridge, and Ivy League universities in the United States. In 1921, the Old Georgians Association was formed.
Quilmes is a city on the coast of the Rio de la Plata, in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, on the southeast end of the Greater Buenos Aires, being some 17 km (11 mi) away from the urban centre area of Buenos Aires. Alumni Athletic Club, or simply Alumni, was an Argentine football team active during the first years of the sport in that country. Although officially founded in 1898, the team had been formed in 1893 when a group of students from the Buenos Aires English High School joined Alexander Watson Hutton to form a team in order to participate in the championship organized by the Argentine Association Football League.
The Club San Albano, also known as the St. Albans Club, is an Argentine sports club from the Burzaco district of Almirante Brown Partido. San Albano is mostly known for its rugby union team, which currently plays in Primera División A, the second division of the Unión de Rugby de Buenos Aires league system. The field hockey team competes at tournaments organized by the Buenos Aires Hockey Association. As of 2023, the club had more than 350 female field hockey players registered.

William Barry Holmes was a rugby union player who played for the England national rugby union team and the Argentina national rugby union team. As of 2011 he is the only player to have been capped at senior level by both those two countries.
Lobos Athletic Club is an Argentine sports club based in the city of Lobos, Buenos Aires. Although other sports were practised at the club, Lobos Athletic is mostly known for its football team, who took part in the Primera División championships until its disaffection, being runner-up in 1898 and 1899. The 1900 Tie Cup Final was the final match to decide the winner of the Tie Cup, the 1st. edition of the international competition organised by the Argentine and Uruguayan Associations together. The final was contested by two Argentine sides, Belgrano A.C. and Rosario A.C., from Buenos Aires and Rosario respectively.
