Stratford is a town in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is situated on Long Island Sound along Connecticut's "Gold Coast" at the mouth of the Housatonic River. Stratford is in the Bridgeport–Stamford–Norwalk Metropolitan Statistical Area. It was founded by Puritans in 1639.

History

The Gothic Revival church was designed by J. Gerald Phelan and later redesigned by Andrew G. Patrick.

J. Gerald Phelan American architect

J. Gerald Phelan was a U.S. architect and corporate executive who was very active throughout the Eastern part of the United States throughout the middle part of the 20th century.

Andrew G. Patrick (1907–1955) was an American architect who specialized in churches and schools, mostly for Catholic clients in Connecticut.

The Peragallo Organ

The organ was designed by the Peragallo Organ Company of Paterson, NJ, Opus 672. It is a 3 manual and pedal instrument containing 8 ranks of pipework with a total of 415 speaking pipes augmented with 47 digitally sampled ranks for a total of 55 ranks.

The Peragallo Pipe Organ Company of Paterson, New Jersey, United States, was founded in 1918 by John Peragallo Sr., who, prior to founding the company, apprenticed with the E.M. Skinner Organ Company. A family company, Peragallo Pipe Organ Company was run by Peragallo Sr., and then by John Peragallo Jr. until his death in 2008. The company now is headed by John III and Frank Peragallo, joined by their sons, John IV and Anthony.
