The St. Joseph the Worker Church [1] is a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and is located in the town of Gros Islet [2] in the district of the same name on the northern tip of St. Lucia. [3] [4]

The parish follows the Roman or Latin rite and is part of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Castries (Archidioecesis Castriensis). Its history dates back to the first missionaries who arrived on the scene in 1749, although not known precisely the date on which was built the first church believed it was in 1771. In 1778 the chapel was replaced by a church. In 1850 the construction of another church that was completed in 1876 being dedicated to St. Joseph. The present church was consecrated in 1967.

Garraway Hotel

Garraway Hotel is a hotel located on the quayside of Roseau, Dominica. It lies between the Fort Young Hotel and right next to The Dominica Museum. In the colonial period this area was part of the Fort Young from 1770. This hotel was built in 1994. Located in a mint green and white building, the five-storey hotel contains 31 rooms and is operated by the Garraway family. The hotel contains an interior courtyard, rooftop terrace, the Balisier Creole cuisine restaurant on the second floor, a duty-free shop on the ground floor and the Ole Jetty Bar. The rooms are fitted with king-sized beds or double beds, with rattan furniture and floral-print fabrics.

The grounds include a scuba centre, bars, restaurants and casino reported to be the world's first "barefoot casino". The hotel has 141 rooms. Protestant Cay

Protestant Cay is a four-acre triangular islet in the Christiansted Harbor, 200 yards north of Christiansted. The island is home to a resort, the Hotel on the Cay, which is home to a protected sand beach, small shop and beach bar. It also has the closest beach to Downtown Christiansted. With one of the ferries, which run from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m., every ten minutes, it will only take about two minutes to get there. The ride is free of charge after 4 p.m., and for guests of the Hotel on the Cay. To get on the ferry, passengers have to stand near the boardwalk in front of the King Christian Hotel and wave to the boat captain on duty.

Cinnamon Cay

Cinnamon Cay is a cay in the United States Virgin Islands, situated approximately 0.7 miles east of Trunk Cay in the Cinnamon Bay, and 100 yards from the shore at Cinnamon Bay Beach on Saint John island. It has a height of 32 feet. The islet is uninhabited, but regularly visited by scuba-divers, snorkelers and kayakers. Cinnamon Bay Watersports offers kayaks and snorkeling equipment for travelers to the cay. Cinnamon Cay is mostly covered with grass and cactus, and is located within the Virgin Islands National Park.
