Ilford is a large town in east London, England, 9 miles (14 km) north-east of Charing Cross. Part of the London Borough of Redbridge, Ilford is within the ceremonial county of Greater London. It had a population of 168,168 in 2011, compared to 303,858 for the entire borough.
Saffron Hill is a street and ward in the south eastern corner of the London Borough of Camden, between Farringdon Road and Hatton Garden. The name of the street derives from the fact that it was at one time part of an estate on which saffron grew. The ecclesiastical parish was St Peter, Saffron Hill, a daughter parish of Holborn, which is now combined with St Alban, Holborn.

Initially created as an urban district, it was incorporated as a municipal borough in 1938. It was established to deal with the increase in population and the change from rural to urban area caused by the building of the Becontree estate by the London County Council and the subsequent movement of people from Inner London. Peripheral to London, the district formed part of the Metropolitan Police District and London Traffic Area. It now forms the eastern sections of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and the London Borough of Redbridge in Greater London.

The district saw a considerable rise in population throughout its life, caused by the expansion of the built-up area of London, and became one of the most populous districts of its type in England. The district now corresponds to the greater part of the London Borough of Redbridge in Greater London.

The Church of St John the Apostle and Evangelist is a Church of England parish church located in Sutton Road, close to the centre of the busy market town of Watford in Hertfordshire. It is within the Diocese of St Albans and has throughout its history been one of the leading Anglo-Catholic churches in the southeast of England. Today it is part of the Richborough Episcopal Area, and lies in the pastoral and sacramental care of the Provincial Episcopal Visitor.
St Peter & St Paul, Teddington is a Church of England church at Bychurch End in Teddington, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It was formerly a parish church but in 2020 became an extra-parochial place. Now known as 'The Peter and Paul Centre', it is being run as a mission hub for Teddington, by a board of trustees from neighbouring parishes St Mary with St Alban and St Michael's Fulwell, and from the Diocese of London.

St Clement's Church, Ilford was a Church of England church on Park Avenue in Ilford in the London Borough of Redbridge. It was built between 1889 and 1896. The land for the building was donated by Mrs Clement Ingleby of Valentines and the building designed by Cutts Brothers. Initially a chapel of ease to St Mary's Church, Ilford, it replaced it as the parish's main church in 1902. Its vicar was appointed by All Souls College, Oxford. It was demolished in 1977.
St Mary's Church, Ilford or St Mary's Church, Great Ilford is a Church of England parish church in Ilford in the London Borough of Redbridge. A new ecclesiastical parish for Great Ilford was split off from that of Barking in 1830 and its church building completed the following year. The church's principal benefactor was Robert Westley Hall-Dare, M.P. His daughter, Mary Hall-Dare, laid the foundation stone and the church was opened on June 9, 1831, by Charles James Blomfield, Bishop of London, “and the day was spent in general festivity from the highest to the lowest classes”. Its first vicar was appointed in 1837 - its advowson was initially vested in All Souls College, Oxford. A tower was added in 1866 and a chancel, lady chapel and vestries in 1920. St Clement's Church was completed as a chapel of ease for it in 1896, before becoming the parish's main church in 1902.
St Cedd's Church, Barkingside is a Church of England parish church in the Barkingside district of Ilford in the London Borough of Redbridge, dedicated to Cedd, bishop of Essex, in which Ilford historically fell. In 1938 a temporary church was built and a conventional district set up using parts of the parishes of Holy Trinity, Barkingside and Holy Trinity, South Woodford.
St Barnabas' Church, Woodford Green, is a Church of England church in Snakes Lane East, Woodford, London. It had its origins in a 1904 iron mission church – this was attached to St Paul's Church, Woodford. A permanent church was built between 1910 and 1911, with a lady chapel, organ chamber, chancel and two bays of an aisled nave – the nave was completed in 1964. The church was designed by E T Dunn, who also designed St Luke's Church, Ilford, and produced a proposed design for a new chapel screen at St Peter's Church, Bethnal Green. Parts of the parishes of St Paul's, All Saints Church, Woodford Wells, and Holy Trinity Church, South Woodford, were combined to form the new parish of St Barnabas in 1911.
St Stephen's Church, Little Ilford is the Roman Catholic parish church for Little Ilford and Manor Park, two areas in Newham, east London. It was first built in 1924 as a chapel to St Nicholas', Manor Park. St Stephen's was rebuilt in 1959 and became the parish church, with St Nicholas' as its chapel, the status both churches still hold today.
St Gabriel's Church is a Church of England parish church in the Aldersbrook estate area of Wanstead in the London Borough of Redbridge, dedicated to the archangel Gabriel. It began in 1903 as an iron building before a permanent brick church by Charles Spooner in the Perpendicular iteration of the neo-Gothic style was completed in 1914, the same year as St Gabriel's was granted its own parish, taking areas from the parishes of St Mary the Virgin, Wanstead, and St Mary's Church, Little Ilford.
