St Joseph's College of Law is a Jesuit law school in Bangalore, in Karnataka, in south-western India. It was founded in 2017. It is part of St. Joseph's Institutions. It is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi, and approved by the Bar Council of India in New Delhi. [1] [2] [3]

Tragic Demise

The Director of St Joseph College of Law, Rev. Fr. Praveen Hrudayaraj died at a very young age and the institute lost one of their best minds very soon. He was instrumental in shaping the growth of the college. [4]

Green Line of Namma Metro was built along with the Purple Line during the first phase of construction of the metro rail system for the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The 30.5 km (19.0 mi) line connects Madavara in the northwest to Silk Institute in the south. The line connects the industrial centers of Peenya and Yeshwanthpur along Tumakuru Road in the north with the central hub of Majestic and the southern residential areas of Bangalore such as Basavanagudi, Jayanagar, Banashankari, Konanakunte Cross, Thalaghattapura along Kanakapura Road. Green Line is mostly elevated, with 26 elevated and 3 underground stations. The Line passes through Majestic station which is an interchange station between Green and Purple Lines.

Basavaraj Somappa Bommai is an Indian politician and engineer who is currently serving as the Lok Sabha MP of Haveri and previously served as the 23rd Chief Minister of Karnataka from 18 July 2021 to 19 May 2023. He formerly served as the Interim Leader of the Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Assembly as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and he was former member of the Janata Dal and Janata Dal (United). 7th Bengaluru International Film Festival 2014 was inaugurated by the honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah on 4 December 2014 in Bengaluru. The film festival is showcasing 175 films from 45 countries in 11 screens across the City from 4 to 11 December.

Jayciana is the annual cultural festival of the JSS Science and Technology University. The festival, located in Mysuru, is usually held during the months of April and May.

Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad is an autonomous engineering and technology institute in Dharwad, Karnataka, India. IIT Dharwad started functioning from July 2016 in a temporary campus, previously of the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI) in Belur Industrial Area, on the outskirts of Dharwad city. It was formally inaugurated on 28 August 2016. IIT Dharwad's permanent campus is situated at Chikkamalligawad, Dharwad, Karnataka. The campus has been fully operational since March 2023, when it was inaugurated and dedicated to the nation by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. For the academic year 2016–2017, the institute offered B.Tech courses in three branches, namely. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering. The year 2021 saw the introduction of an additional branch, Engineering physics. As of 2022, the institute expanded to provide four additional courses of study, namely Chemical and Biochemical engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Civil and Infrastructure engineering, and Interdisciplinary Sciences.

Silk Institute is the elevated southern terminal metro station on the North-South corridor of the Green Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, India. This station was opened on 21 January 2021 to the public. This station is named after Karnataka State Sericulture Research and Development Institute, located at Kanakapura road. The station was inaugurated along with five other stations, as a part of the Green Line extension.
