The Stade Marcel Picot is a stadium located in Tomblaine, France, near the city of Nancy. Built in 1926, it is used by Ligue 2 football team Nancy.

Contents

The stadium was completely rebuilt and inaugurated in its new configuration in 2003. It is now able to hold 20,087 people. [1]

Since summer 2010, Marcel-Picot is one of the very few French stadiums equipped with artificial turf.

Roger Piantoni was a French footballer who played as an inside-forward and was a star on the French national team in the late 1950s. During the 1949–1950 season, he was the champion of Lorraine with his team, and was the top scorer in the league with 35 goals. At the 1958 World Cup, Piantoni was considered one of the best French players of his time. He was nicknamed Bout d'chou, meaning "Cabbage Tip", ranking as the sixth top scorer in the French Championship with a total of 203 goals in Division 1.

It was opened in 1937 under the name Stade Malakoff, and was used primarily by Stade nantais université club for rugby union, then became the stadium of FC Nantes after World War II until the club moved to the Stade de la Beaujoire in 1984.

The 1953 Coupe de France Final was a football match held at Stade Olympique Yves-du-Manoir, Colombes on May 31, 1953, that saw Lille OSC defeat FC Nancy 2–1 thanks to goals by Jean Vincent and Bernard Lefèvre.

The Coupe de France 1977–78 was its 61st edition. It was won by Nancy which defeated OGC Nice in the Final.

Stade Marcel-Deflandre is a sports stadium in La Rochelle, France. It was built by Emile Sourcile. It is the home ground of rugby union team Stade Rochelais of the Top 14 who have played there since it was opened in 1926. It has undergone significant redevelopment since 1995 and the present capacity is 16,000. The stadium is named after Marcel Deflandre, a president of the club who was executed in 1944 during the Second World War.
