Staffan Larsson, (born 10 February 1970), is a Swedish former cross-country skier. [1]

Contents

Larsson competed at an elite level from 1992 to 2005. [1] He took part in the Vasaloppet on numerous occasions, and finished second in 1998 after a late finish from Peter Göransson. Larsson took revenge a year later (1999) when he won the Vasaloppet.

Ole Ellefsæter

Ole Martin Ellefsæter is a retired athlete from Norway. He mostly competed in cross-country skiing, and won two gold medals at the 1968 Winter Olympics. At the 1966 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships he won one gold and one silver (15 km) medal, and in 1971 he became the first Norwegian to win Vasaloppet. Earlier in 1967, Ellefsæter won the 50 km event at the Holmenkollen ski festival, the same year he was awarded the Holmenkollen medal, shared with Toini Gustafsson.

Jan Ottosson is a former Swedish cross-country skier. A national team skier, he also represented Åsarna IK during the 1980s and early 1990s. He won two gold medals in the 4 × 10 km relay at the Winter Olympics, providing some of the most iconic and impressive legs of Swedish Olympic history. Additionally, he finished sixth in the 50 km event at the 1988 Winter Olympics, sixth in the 15 km event at the 1991 Nordic skiing World Championships, won eight individual Swedish championships, and won ten Swedish championship gold medals in the relays. Ottosson in best known is for winning the Vasaloppet four times in. After his active career with the Åsarnas squad, Ottosson now works as an official on the Bergs ski center. Currently, Ottosson runs his own Vasaloppet training program, where the former champion helps others prepare for the race. Ottosson also owns a state-of-the-art ski grinding machine and a ski waxing business which the former champion uses to perfect patrons' skis for Vasaloppet race conditions.

Assar Rönnlund Swedish cross-country skier

Bernt Assar Rönnlund was a Swedish cross-country skier. Rönnlund's biggest success was at the 1962 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane where he won two gold medals and a silver (50 km). As a result, he earned the Svenska Dagbladet Gold Medal that year for his championship successes. Rönnlund was the anchorman of the Swedish 4 × 10 km relay team at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, bringing the team from fourth place to victory. Rönnlund also won the Vasaloppet in 1967 and the 50 km event at the Holmenkollen ski festival twice. For his cross-country skiing successes, Rönnlund was awarded the Holmenkollen Medal in 1968.

Sven Hansson was a Swedish cross-country skier who competed in the 1930s. He won a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1938 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti. His best individual finish was fourth in the 18 km event at the 1937 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships.

Sven-Åke Lundbäck Swedish cross-country skier

Sven-Åke Lundbäck is a former Swedish cross-country skier. He competed at the 1972, 1976 and 1980 Olympics in the 15 km, 30 km and 4 × 10 km events and won a gold medal over 15 km in 1972. He was close to a bronze medal in the 4 × 10 km relay in 1972, but fell near the finish; he had another fourth place in the relay in 1980.

Lennart Larsson (cross-country skier) Swedish cross-country skier

Nils Olov Lennart ”Lill-Järven" Larsson was a Swedish cross-country skier and coach. He competed in the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1956 and 1960 Olympics and won a bronze medal in 1956, finishing fourth in 1960; in 1960 he also placed fourth and fifth in the individual 30 and 50 km events. Larsson won the 4 × 10 km relay at the 1958 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti.

This record lasted for 14 years until Jörgen Brink in 2012 finished Vasaloppet 16 seconds faster.

Daniel Tynell is a Swedish retired cross-country skier who won the ski marathon Vasaloppet three times, in 2002, 2006 and 2009, and came in second in the 2010, 2011 och 2013 marathons. Tynell also won the König Ludwig Lauf, an event that is part of Worldloppet Ski Federation, twice. He represented the ski club Grycksbo IF.

Petter Eliassen Norwegian cross-country skier

Petter Eliassen is a Norwegian cross-country skier who has competed since 2004. His best World Cup finish was second in a 4 × 10 km relay event in Finland in March 2010. He won the Vasaloppet in 2015 and 2020, and Birkebeinerrennet in 2015.

Anders Larsson, is a Swedish former cross-country skier representing Bondsjöhöjdens IK in club competitions during his career.
