The Standing Committee on Transport and Communications (Norwegian : Transport- og kommunikasjonskomiteen) is a standing committee of the Parliament of Norway. It is responsible for policies relating to transport, postal services, telecommunications, electronic communication and the responsibilities of the Norwegian National Coastal Administration. It corresponds to the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the coastal transport portfolio of the Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs. [1] The committee has 15 members and is chaired by Sigbjørn Gjelsvik of the Centre Party. [2]
The committee is headed by a chair and two vice chairs. There was only one vice chair between 1950 and 2001.

Lars Peder Brekk is a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. He was private secretary to the Minister of Fisheries 1985-1986, and himself Minister of Fisheries in 2000. He was elected to parliament in 2005 and served as Minister of Agriculture and Food from 2008 to 2012. He was acting leader of the Centre Party from June to September 2008.
Eli Sollied Øveraas is a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party (SP). She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Møre og Romsdal in 1993. Failing to get re-elected in 1997, she still served as a deputy representative and was elected again in 2001.

The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Transport, also referred as Ministry of Transport and Communications is a Norwegian ministry established in 1946, and is responsible for transportation in Norway. The ministry was responsible for communication infrastructure until may 2019, when the responsibility for the Norwegian Communications Authority was transferred to Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development. Since October 2021, the ministry has been headed by Jon-Ivar Nygård of the Labour Party. The department must report to the parliament (Stortinget).

Karin Maria Bruzelius is a Swedish-born Norwegian supreme court justice and former president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights. In 1989, she became the first woman to be appointed Permanent Secretary of a government ministry, heading the Ministry of Transport and Communications until 1997. She was appointed supreme court justice on the Supreme Court of Norway in 1997, retiring in 2011. She has previously also been a director-general in the Ministry of Justice and a corporate lawyer. She was a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague from 2004 to 2010, and chaired the Petroleum Price Board from 1987 to 2004. She served as president of the Norwegian Association for Women's Rights from 1978 to 1984, and from 2018 to 2020. She has been affiliated with the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law at the University of Oslo Faculty of Law since 2011.
Ingvald Godal was a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party and later the Conservative Party. For the former party he was a State Secretary as well as mayor of Vinje; for the latter party he served four terms in the Norwegian Parliament. He was also involved in various organizations, most latterly the Norwegian Support Committee for Chechnya.

The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence is a standing committee of the Parliament of Norway. It is responsible for policies relating foreign affairs, military, development cooperation, Svalbard or in other polar regions and matters in general relating to agreements between Norway and other states or organizations. It corresponds to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence. The committee has 16 members and is chaired by Ine Eriksen Søreide of the Conservative Party. The members also sit on the Enlarged Committee on Foreign Affairs and the European Committee.

Previously he served as the Minister of International Development from 2018 to 2019 in Prime Minister Erna Solberg's cabinet, being the first since Heikki Holmås from 2012 to 2013. In 2019, he also became the first Minister of Digitalisation after the Christian Democratic Party joined the Cabinet, a post he served in until 2020.

Cecilie Myrseth is a Norwegian psychologist and politician for the Labour Party. She is currently the minister of fisheries since 2023. She is also a member of the Storting for Troms since 2017, and previously chaired the Troms county cabinet from 2015 to 2017.

A member of the Conservative Party of Canada, she was elected in the 2021 Canadian federal election. Lanstman is the first openly gay and first Jewish woman ever elected as a Conservative MP. Upon Pierre Poilievre's election as Conservative Leader, he named Lantsman one of two deputy leaders along with Edmonton MP Tim Uppal.
