Stanley Waqa (born 28 April 1988) is a Fijian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s. He played for the Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League. [2] His position is at prop.
He played his junior rugby for the Guildford Owls. He was a member of the Roosters Toyota Cup team in 2008.
Waqa made his first grade debut for the Sydney Roosters in round 11 of the 2009 NRL season against Penrith which ended in a 48-6 loss at Penrith Park. Waqa made nine appearances for the Sydney Roosters in 2009 as the club finished last on the table for the first time since 1966. In 2015, Waqa played for Penrith's NSW Cup team. [3]
In October 2009, Waqa was charged over a knife-wielding incident in which a young woman was wounded in Sydney's east. [4] Police allege Waqa was arguing with a woman inside an apartment in Randwick. It is alleged Waqa then armed himself with a knife, and recklessly wounded the woman. The woman was taken to hospital suffering lacerations. [5]
Craig Gower is an Italian-Australian former professional rugby league and rugby union footballer who played in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. He is a dual-code rugby international, having played rugby league for Australia and rugby union for Italy. A New South Wales State of Origin and Australian Kangaroos representative halfback or hooker, he played in the National Rugby League for Sydney club the Penrith Panthers. Gower then switched rugby union, playing for French Top 14 side Bayonne, and through grandparentage represented Italy. He returned to rugby league with the London Broncos in the Super League and then finished his playing career with one more National Rugby League season at the Newcastle Knights.
Cameron Ciraldo is a professional rugby league football coach who is the head coach of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League (NRL), and a former professional rugby league footballer. He is known as the defensive coach behind the Penrith Panthers back-to-back premierships in 2021 and 2022. He was previously the head coach of the Italy national team and an assistant coach of the Penrith Panthers in the NRL. During his playing career, Ciraldo played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, Newcastle Knights and the Penrith Panthers, all in the NRL, and was selected to represent Italy. He primarily played as a second-row or lock.
The 2004 NRL season was the 97th season of professional rugby league football in Australia, and the seventh run by the National Rugby League. Fifteen clubs competed during the regular season before the top eight finishing teams contested the finals series. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs defeated the Sydney Roosters in the 2004 NRL grand final and in doing so claimed their eighth premiership.
Luke O'Donnell is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. An Australian international and New South Wales State of Origin representative forward, he previously played his club football in Australia with National Rugby League teams the Balmain Tigers, Wests Tigers, North Queensland Cowboys and the Sydney Roosters, with whom he featured in the club's 13th premiership. O'Donnell also played for two seasons with the Huddersfield Giants in the Super League.

Jake Friend is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played as a hooker. He spent his entire first-grade career, spanning 2008 to 2021, with the Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League (NRL); at the time of his retirement, he was the club's co-captain. Friend won three premierships with the Roosters, in 2013, 2018 and 2019. Internationally, Friend represented Australia in a Test in 2016.
