BattleBots is an American robot combat television series and company. The show is an adaptation of the American Robot Wars competitions hosted in the mid–late 1990s by Marc Thorpe, in which competitors design and operate remote-controlled armed and armored machines designed to fight in an arena combat elimination tournament. The same competitions inspired the British TV program Robot Wars, which acquired the name in 1995.

WindTunnel with Dave Despain was a live viewer call-in show exclusively for auto racing fans that debuted on Speed Channel on February 22, 2003, and ended on August 11, 2013. During the course of the show, host Dave Despain fielded telephone calls and read e-mail from viewers, some of them directed at the guest Despain is interviewing, which was done just after the first segment, titled "Hot Topics", which Despain reads the big stories from the racing world. After the interview segment, Despain did a segment just for him, titled "My Take", in which he gave his opinion on news from the racing world. There was also an award for the best e-mail or phone call from each show, as the winning viewer received a Despain bobblehead. It was a coveted prize among viewers.

Discovery Atlas is a documentary television series on the Discovery Channel and Discovery HD Theater which focuses on the cultural, sociological, and natural aspects of various countries by exploring their different peoples, traditions, and lands. The documentary follows the lives and individual struggles of locals, while taking in-depth looks at the countries' history and culture. Murdoch Mysteries is a Canadian television drama series that premiered on Citytv on January 20, 2008, and currently airs on CBC. The series is based on characters from the Detective Murdoch novels by Maureen Jennings and stars Yannick Bisson as William Murdoch, a police detective working in Toronto, Ontario in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The series was titled The Artful Detective on the Ovation cable TV network in the United States, until season twelve.
Andrew Comrie-Picard is a Canadian race car driver, X Games athlete, stuntman, and TV personality. At age 32, he left his career as an entertainment lawyer in New York City to pursue a career in race car driving. He has since competed in the top levels of pro rally racing, pro drifting, desert off-road racing, short course off-road racing, hillclimbing, and endurance circuit racing. Jonathan Riley "Jon" Montgomery is a Canadian skeleton racer and television host. He won the gold medal in the men's skeleton event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. Despite hosting The Amazing Race Canada since 2013, he is best known in Canada for his spontaneous celebration after winning the gold medal in 2010, when he was caught on camera being handed a pitcher of beer by a fan while a crowd surrounding him cheered and sang O Canada. Top Gear was an American motoring television series, based on the BBC series of the same name. The show's presenters were professional racing driver Tanner Foust, actor and comedian Adam Ferrara, and automotive and racing analyst Rutledge Wood. As with the original British version, the show had its own version of The Stig, an anonymous racing driver, and a celebrity guest was featured each week for the first two seasons. GT Racer is a Cinéma vérité television program following classic car racing. In the United Kingdom it is broadcast on the UKTV channel Dave, in the United States it is broadcast by Treasure HD, a high definition channel of VoomHD and can be received on 'Cable Vision' and 'Dish'. The series is produced and directed by Alexander Davidis through John Galt Films, Inc. In 2008 the program has been picked up by Discovery HD that will air Season II as of March 2009. In the US the program can then be seen on HD Theater and world wide on Discovery HD. It is distributed on DVD by Spirit Level Film.
Philippe Létourneau is a former race car driver, a driving instructor and expert who has appeared on the reality-television show Canada's Worst Driver since 2007. Létourneau started racing at a young age. At age 11, he showed talent in the Québec karting championship. His compatriots and notably his father, Roger Blouin, a former rally champion, encouraged him to pursue the sport and pushed him into Formula racing. Létourneau finished on the podium more than 40 times in over 150 races. He competed in Formula 1600, Formula 2000, Champcar Light, Formula Renault, Formula Vauxhall Junior, Touring car, Spec Racer, Formula Atlantic and Daytona Prototypes, and competed at circuits including Silverstone, Magny Cours, Daytona Speedway, Mont Tremblant and Gilles Villeneuve. Létourneau is a high-performance driving and automobile racing instructor and is chief instructor for the Jim Russell Racing School, chief instructor for BMW Driver Training and principal instructor for the Ferrari Driving Experience. He trains driving instructors for the Québec police and other organizations. He is a critical analyst, aiding development for many car manufacturers and tire producers. In addition to his role on Canada's Worst Driver, Létourneau has been an expert in the Discovery Channel Canada program Star Racer.

Top Gear is a British motoring magazine and entertainment television programme. It is a revival by Jeremy Clarkson and Andy Wilman of the 1977–2001 show of the same name for the BBC, and premiered on 20 October 2002. The programme focuses on the examination and reviewing of motor vehicles, primarily cars, though this was expanded upon after the broadcast of its earlier series to incorporate films featuring motoring-based challenges, special races, timed laps of notable cars, and celebrity timed laps on a course specially-designed for the relaunched programme. The programme drew acclaim for its visual and presentation style since its launch, which focused on being generally entertaining to viewers, as well as criticism over the controversial nature of its content. The show was also praised for its occasionally-controversial humour and lore existing in not just the automotive community but in the form of internet memes and jokes. The programme was aired on BBC Two until it was moved to BBC One for its twenty-ninth series in 2020.
High Tide is an American action adventure drama series created by Jeff Franklin and Steve Waterman and starring Rick Springfield and Yannick Bisson. The syndicated procedural aired from 1994 to 1997 and lasted 72 episodes over three seasons.
The 4th Canadian Screen Awards was held on March 13, 2016, to honour achievements in Canadian film, television, and digital media production in 2015.
