Statholdergaarden is a gourmet restaurant in the Kvadraturen sector of central Oslo, Norway.
The restaurant is led by Bocuse d'Or winning chef Bent Stiansen and his wife Anette Stiansen until her death in May 2010. [1] [2] Established by the couple in 1994, Statholdergaarden is merited with one Michelin star, [3] and its wine selection rated "Best of Award of Excellence" by Wine Spectator . [4]
There is also a Danish inn, Statholderens Krostue, located in the building, a protected villa dated to 1640, which is the former home of Ulrik Frederik Gyldenløve and Oslo lodgings of Tordenskjold. [1]
Andreas Viestad is a Norwegian food columnist and TV chef and restaurateur. He has hosted seven seasons of New Scandinavian Cooking broadcast in the U.S., China, Germany, Italy, Finland and on BBC Food in over fifty countries since 2003, and has been food writer for various newspapers in Norway as well as a columnist in The Washington Post titled "The Gastronomer". Viestad has been called "Norway's most exciting food writer", and "Norway's culinary ambassador". He is a restaurateur behind the Oslo restaurants St Lars, Salome and Spaghetteria, and creative partner for Ambassaden, a multi-restaurant project in the former US embassy in Oslo, a landmark building designed by Eero Saarinen. He is the founder of Geitmyra Culinary Center for Children in Oslo, Ringsaker, Kristiansand and Tønsberg.
Vinmonopolet, symbolized by Ⓥ and colloquially shortened to Polet, is a government-owned alcoholic beverage retailer and the only company allowed to sell beverages containing an alcohol content higher than 4.75% in Norway.

A former politician for the Conservative Party of Norway, and having served a period as the chief executive officer of Storebrand Bank, Henriksen was CEO of the Norwegian government-owned wine and spirits retail monopoly company, AS Vinmonopolet from 2006 until his death in 2016.

Eyvind Hellstrøm is a Norwegian chef and formerly the part owner of Bagatelle restaurant, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant in the city of Oslo. He was the president of the 2008 Bocuse d'Or Europe, is frequently a judge at the Bocuse d'Or world finals, and was himself a competition candidate in 1989, placing fifth.
Bent Stiansen is a Norwegian chef, who in 1993 became the first Scandinavian gold medal winner of the Bocuse d'Or.
Geir Skeie is a Norwegian chef and restaurateur, winner of the 2008 Bocuse d'Or Europe, and the 2009 Bocuse d'Or world final.

Braathens SAFE's domestic market was deregulated on 1 April 1994. Since then, any airline within the European Economic Area is free to operate any domestic or international route. Braathens rejected a proposal from the main competitor Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) for a merger; instead the helicopter division was sold and the company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. New routes were opened from Oslo Airport, Fornebu to Bodø, Harstad/Narvik and Tromsø, but the routes from Bergen to these cities were terminated. International routes to Rome, Nice and Jersey were introduced. In 1996, Braathens SAFE bought Sweden's second-largest airline, Transwede, and started flying on the Oslo–Stockholm route. The following year, Transwede, with its five domestic routes, was merged into Braathens SAFE. The same year, KLM bought 30% of Braathens SAFE and the airlines started a partnership.
Jon Mathias Hippe is a Norwegian researcher, politician and presenter. He received national media attention when he was made General Manager of the Fafo foundation. He continues to hold that position, however, in 2010 he was elected leader of A-pressen. He is the younger brother of Ivar Hippe, a political consultant and former editor-in-chief of Økonomisk Rapport.
Gunnar Hvarnes is a Norwegian chef, and the country's delegate to participate in the 2010 Bocuse d'Or Europe and the 2011 Bocuse d'Or international finals, where he won the bronze medal.
Tom Victor Gausdal is a Norwegian chef, and silver medalist of the 2005 Bocuse d'Or. The margin separating Gausdal from gold medal winner Serge Vieira was one point. Gausdal had a period of apprenticeship at Statholdergaarden under Bent Stiansen and was from 1997 to 2008 a member of the Norwegian national chef team. Intent since childhood on a culinary profession, Gausdal considered for a while on becoming a pastry chef.
Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel is a seminar and conference hotel in Holmenkollen in Oslo, Norway, close to Holmenkollen National Arena and Holmenkollbakken, and the Holmenkollen station of the Oslo Metro. Opened in 1894, it was designed by Balthazar Lange and is regarded as one of the prime examples of dragestil style of design and architecture in Norway.
Chapter One is a restaurant in Parnell Square in Dublin, Ireland. It is a fine dining restaurant that has been awarded two Michelin stars since 2022. It previously held one star between 2007 and 2021. The Michelin Guide awarded the restaurant the "Red M", indicating 'good food at a reasonable price', in the period 1996–2001.
St. Lars is a grill-restaurant in the borough Bislett in Oslo, Norway. It is owned by international TV-chef Andreas Viestad, Face2Face communications agency founder Per Meland and Stargate-producer Tor Erik Hermansen. The restaurant is known for using meat from horses and bear, and even pigs from Bygdø Royal Farm's petting zoo. Everything apart from their horse tartar has been cooked on a custom made grill. The cuisine is based on serving raw or grilled food with an emphasis on Norwegian produce and unusual cooking techniques. The owners have tried to bring some of the ambience from the New York-restaurant The Spotted Pig, owned by Hermansen's StarRoc partner Jay-Z, to their restaurant.
