Stefan Kuipers (born February 2, 1990) is a Dutch chess player.
In 2010, Kuipers played in Group C of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament, where he defeated a few higher-rated players: Daniele Vocaturo, Nils Grandelius, and Mariya Muzychuk. [1]
In 2019, Kuipers played in the Challengers section of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament, where he was the lowest-seeded player. He got his only win against Lucas van Foreest, but held draws against Andrey Esipenko, Benjámin Gledura, Dinara Saduakassova, and Elisabeth Pähtz. [2]
Kuipers provided commentary for the 2020 Dutch Youth Chess Championship [3] and the 2023 World Youth Chess Olympiad. [4]
The Tata Steel Chess Tournament is an annual chess tournament held in January in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands. It was called the Hoogovens Tournament from its creation in 1938 until the sponsor Koninklijke Hoogovens merged with British Steel to form the Corus Group in 1999, after which the tournament was called the Corus Chess Tournament. Corus Group became Tata Steel Europe in 2007. Despite the name changes, the series is numbered sequentially from its Hoogovens beginnings; for example, the 2011 event was referred to as the 73rd Tata Steel Chess Tournament.

He has also won major international tournaments, including the 2012 Reggio Emilia tournament, 2017 Reykjavik Open, 2023 Tata Steel Chess, and shared 1st place in the 2015 London Chess Classic. In 2019 he won clear first at the Third Edition of the Shenzhen Masters.
Dariusz Świercz is a Polish-American chess player playing for the United States. He was the youngest Polish player of all time to qualify for the title Grandmaster; he was 14 years and seven months when he achieved this title in 2009. In 2018 he switched his national federation to the United States.
Daniil Dmitrievich Dubov is a Russian chess grandmaster. He achieved his final norm for the Grandmaster title at the age of 14 years, 11 months, 14 days in 2011. Dubov won the 2018 World Rapid Chess Championship held in Saint Petersburg.

Maksim Chigaev is a Russian chess player who currently represents Spain. He was awarded the title Grandmaster by FIDE in 2016.
Eline Roebers is a Dutch chess International Master. She is the reigning Dutch Women's Champion and was the 2022 Dutch Youth Champion in the open division. Roebers was the 2020 online World Youth Champion in the under-14 girls' division, and was the first Dutch player to win a World Youth Championship in any category. Roebers began playing chess at age seven and she has been coached by Dutch International Master Robert Ris. Her father Jan is a FIDE Master (FM). She won an individual bronze medal on the second board at the European Women's Team Championship in 2021.
