Stefano Marchetti is an Italian professional ice hockey defenceman who participated at the 2010 IIHF World Championship as a member of the Italian National men's ice hockey team. [1]

USA won their first gold medal at the World Championships, defeating the defending champions Canada in a penalty shootout. The championship was expanded to nine teams for 2006, so there was no relegation at any level.

While China finished last in Group A and Romania last in Group B and were relegated to Division II for 2006.
