Steinar Aspli (born 14 December 1957) is a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party.
He served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Nord-Trøndelag during the term 1997–2001. On the local level he was mayor of Nærøy Municipality from 1999-2019.
Since 2005 he is chairman of the board of the Nord-Trøndelag Health Trust. He succeeded Lars Peder Brekk.
Namdalseid is a former municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020 when it joined Namsos Municipality. It was part of the Namdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Namdalseid. Other villages and farm areas in the municipality included Sjøåsen, Statland, Tøttdalen, and Sverkmoen.

Norway's smallest town, Kolvereid, was the administrative centre of the municipality. Some villages in Nærøy Municipality included Abelvær, Foldereid, Gravvika, Lund, Ottersøya, Salsbruket, Steine, and Torstad.

He was also member of Parliament from 1997 to 2009 and county mayor of Nord-Trøndelag from 1995 to 1997.

Norway is commonly divided into five major geographical regions. These regions are purely geographical and cultural, and have no administrative purpose. However, in 2017 the government decided to abolish the current counties of Norway and to replace them with fewer, larger administrative regions. The first of these new areas came into existence on 1 January 2018, when Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag merged to form Trøndelag.
Nord-Trøndelag was a county constituting the northern part of the present-day Trøndelag county in Norway. It bordered the old Sør-Trøndelag county as well as the county of Nordland. To the west is the Norwegian Sea, and to the east is Jämtland in Sweden. The county was established in 1804 when the old Trondhjems amt was divided into two: Nordre Trondhjems amt and Søndre Trondhjems amt. In 2016, the two county councils voted to merge (back) into a single county on 1 January 2018.

The municipality covered the northern coastal areas of the present-day Nærøysund Municipality in Trøndelag county. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Gravvika where the Gravvik Church is located.
