The politics of Norway take place in the framework of a parliamentary,representative democratic constitutional monarchy. Executive power is exercised by the Council of State,the cabinet,led by the Prime Minister of Norway. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the legislature,the Storting,elected within a multi-party system. The judiciary is independent of the executive branch and the legislature.
Kjell Magne Bondevik is a Norwegian Lutheran minister and politician. As leader of the Christian Democratic Party,he served as the 33rd prime minister of Norway from 1997 to 2000,and from 2001 to 2005,making him,after Erna Solberg,Norway's longest serving non-Labour Party prime minister since World War II. Currently,Bondevik is president of the Oslo Centre for Peace and Human Rights.

He served as the 32nd prime minister of Norway from 1996 to 1997,as the minister of Foreign Affairs from 2000 to 2001 and as the president of the Storting from 2005 to 2009.

He is the current County Governor of Vestland,having served as the County Governor of Hordaland from 2010 until the office was merged with that of neighboring Sogn og Fjordane in 2019.

He was also Parliamentary leader from 2005 when he was elected as Member of Parliament representing Rogaland. He was Vice President of the Norwegian Parliament from 2011 to 2013. He was President of the Nordic Council in 2007. Høybråten was granted leave from his duty as Member of Parliament from March 2013 to take up the position as Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers. He was elected board member of the GAVI Alliance in 2006 and Chair of the Board from 2011 to 2015.
Erna Solberg is a Norwegian politician and the current Leader of the Opposition. She served as the 35th prime minister of Norway from 2013 to 2021,and has been Leader of the Conservative Party since May 2004.

The red–green coalition was a centre-left coalition of parties in Norway,constituting the Labour Party (Ap),the Socialist Left Party (SV),and the Centre Party (Sp). Unlike many other Red-Green coalitions,the "green" here was the colour of a centrist eurosceptic Nordic agrarian party rather than an actual green political movement. It governed from 2005 until Labour Party leader Jens Stoltenberg resigned his cabinet on 16 October 2013 following the coalition's defeat in the 2013 elections.

Stoltenberg's Second Cabinet was the Government of Norway from 17 October 2005 to 16 October 2013. It was a coalition between the Labour Party,the Socialist Left Party and the Centre Party,known as the Red–Green Coalition. On 9 September 2013,the coalition was defeated in the 2013 election.

Frank Bakke-Jensen is a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. He served as minister of defence from 2017 to 2021,and minister of European affairs from 2016 to 2017. He was mayor of Båtsfjord from 2007 until his election to the Storting from Finnmark in 2009. Bakke-Jensen formerly worked as a ship's electrician between Hammerfest and Tromsø,and has also worked as a teacher and self-employed pilot at Båtsfjord Airport. He has also performed military service in the UN Lebanon conflict.

Nærøysund is a municipality in Trøndelag county,Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Namdalen. The municipality was established on 1 January 2020 after the merger of the old municipalities of Vikna and Nærøy. The municipality is unique in that it has two equal administrative centre:Kolvereid and Rørvik. The other main population centres of Nærøysund include Abelvær,Foldereid,Gravvik,Ottersøy,Salsbruket,Steine,Torstad,Austafjord,Garstad,and Valøya.
