Alf E. Jakobsen (born 11 January 1952 in Lenvik) is a Norwegian Labour politician.
Jakobsen served as the deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Finnmark during the terms 1989–1993,2001–2005 and 2005–2009. During the first two terms he met as a regular representative for a period meanwhile Oddrunn Pettersen and Karl Eirik Schjøtt-Pedersen respectively were appointed to the Cabinet. In December 2006 Karl Eirik Schjøtt-Pedersen was appointed to work at the Prime Minister's office,and Jakobsen became a regular representative for the third time.
Jakobsen held various positions in Hammerfest municipality council from 1975 to 1987,and then served as mayor from 1999 to 2007. After ending his term in parliament in 2009 Jakobsen once again became mayor in Hammerfest. The Labour Party retained their majority in Hammerfest in the 2011 elections,and Jacobsen continued as mayor. [1]

Hammerfest is the northernmost town in the world with more than 10,000 inhabitants,with the administrative centre of the municipality being the town of Hammerfest. Some of the main villages in the municipality include Rypefjord,Kvalsund,Forsøl,Hønsebybotn,Akkarfjord i Kvaløya,Akkarfjord i Sørøya,and Kårhamn.
Annemarie Røstvik Lorentzen was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She was the first female Norwegian Minister of Transport and Communications,in addition to being Minister of Consumer Affairs and Administration and Norwegian ambassador to Iceland. Lorentzen played a major role in the post-World War II reconstruction of her Hammerfest after it was razed by the fleeing Nazi occupiers.
Helga Pedersen is a Norwegian politician,former Minister,and member of the Storting,who served as the deputy leader for the Labour Party from 2007 to 2015. A native of Sør-Varanger,she served between 2003 and 2005 as the County Mayor of the northernmost Finnmark county. From 2005 to 2009 she served as Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs,becoming the youngest member of the Labour-led Red-Green Coalition headed by Jens Stoltenberg.

Karl Eirik Schjøtt-Pedersen is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He is currently the Auditor General of Norway since 2022. He was a parliamentary representative for Finnmark from 1985 to 2009. He served as Minister of Fisheries from 1996 to 1997 and Minister of Finance from 2000 to 2001 in the first cabinet Stoltenberg. Pedersen was Chief of Staff at the Office of the Prime Minister and a member of the Cabinet from 2006 to 2013. From 2015 to 2020 he was the CEO at Norwegian Oil and Gas.
Sørøysund is a former municipality in Finnmark county,Norway. The 826-square-kilometre (319 sq mi) municipality existed from 1852 until its dissolution in 1992. It is located in the present-day municipality of Hammerfest. The former municipality encompassed the eastern part of the island of Sørøya,the northern part of the island of Seiland,and the northern part of Kvaløya. The administrative centre of Sørøysund was the town of Hammerfest,even though the town was not part of Sørøysund.

From 1996 to 1997 he met regularly in the Storting replacing Karl Eirik Schjøtt-Pedersen who was Minister of Fisheries. In the Storting,he was a member of the Standing Committee on Family,Cultural Affairs and Administration from 1996 to 1997.
