Asmund Kristoffersen (born 5 November 1944 in Flakstad Municipality) is a retired Norwegian politician for the Labour Party.
He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Møre og Romsdal in 1993 and has since been re-elected on three occasions.
On the local level he was a member of the municipal council for Tingvoll Municipality from 1979 to 1991 and the Møre og Romsdal county council from 1983 to 1993.
Before becoming a full-time politician, he spent several years in the Norwegian education system: first as a teacher, later as a principal at two different schools, and then as the head of the school administration in Tingvoll Municipality.

The village is located on a small inlet off the Tingvollfjorden, directly across the fjord from the village of Angvika. Tingvollvågen lies about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of the village of Meisingset and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of the village of Straumsnes. The historic Tingvoll Church is located in this village. Norwegian National Road 70 runs through the village on its way from Kristiansund to Oppdal.
Stangvik is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 437-square-kilometre (169 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. The municipality of Stangvik encompassed much of the area surrounding the Trongfjorden and the smaller fjords that branch off of it such as the Ålvundfjorden, Stangvikfjorden, and Todalsfjorden.
