Lars Rise

Lars Rise (born 18 March 1955 in Hamar) is a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party.

He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Oslo in 1997, and was re-elected on one occasion.

Rise was a member of Hordaland county council during the term 19791983.

Jostedal is a former municipality in the old Sogn og Fjordane county in Norway. The 533-square-kilometre (206 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1963. It was located in the Jostedalen valley in the northern part of the present-day municipality of Luster, in Vestland county, north of the village of Gaupne. Byneset is a former municipality in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 78.5-square-kilometre (30.3 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality of Byneset encompassed the western part of what is now Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county. Byneset was located along an arm of the Trondheimsfjord and it was separated from the city of Trondheim by the Bymarka recreation area. The local Byneset Church is one of the oldest stone churches in Norway. The largest village in Byneset was Spongdal which was the administrative centre of the municipality. Other villages included Byneset and Langørjan.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Lars Haltbrekken</span> Norwegian environmentalist and politician

Lars Haltbrekken is a Norwegian environmentalist and was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 2017 for the Socialist Left Party. He was chairman of Friends of the Earth Norway from 2005 to 2016 after having been deputy chairman from 2003 to 2005. Haltbrekken was also chairman of Natur og Ungdom in 1995 and 1996. In between the two leaderships he worked primarily trying to prevent natural gas power plants in Norway, and was chairman of Fellesaksjonen mot gasskraftverk. He grew up in Trondheim.

Storsjøen is a lake in the Odalen valley in Innlandet county, Norway. The 42.8-square-kilometre (16.5 sq mi) lake straddles the municipal boundary between Sør-Odal Municipality and Nord-Odal Municipality. The lake lies just south of the village of Sand and just north of the village of Skarnes.
