A ballerina skirt, also referred to as a Juliet skirt or a romance skirt, is a full skirt that is worn by ballet dancers and is composed of multiple layers of fabric. Ballet dancers wear the longer version of the skirt, while for fashion purposes the skirt is worn shorter, like a mini skirt for better dancing, the cocktail version. The standard ballerina attire is composed of fabric with a wire, in order for tulle to be visualized as stiff when it is around their waists. The Juliet styled skirt is free-flowing and covers the majority of their legs to place a high emphasis on the performer's legs.

Iran was ranked 116, out of the 153 countries, in terms of legal discrimination against women.

Ibtihaj Muhammad is an American sabre fencer, writer, entrepreneur and activist. She is best known for being the first woman to wear hijab while competing for the United States in the Olympics Games, as well as for winning an Olympic medal (bronze).
Michaela Mabinty DePrince is a Sierra Leonean-American ballet dancer, currently dancing with the Boston Ballet. She rose to fame after starring in the documentary First Position in 2011, following her and other young ballet dancers as they prepared to compete at the Youth America Grand Prix. With her adoptive mother, Elaine DePrince, she authored the book Taking Flight: From War Orphan to Star Ballerina. DePrince formerly danced with the Dance Theatre of Harlem as the youngest dancer in the history of the company and was a former soloist with the Dutch National Ballet. Since 2016, Michaela is a goodwill ambassador with the Dutch organization War Child, based in Amsterdam.
World Hijab Day is an annual event founded by Nazma Khan in 2013, taking place on 1 February each year in 140 countries worldwide. Its stated purpose is to encourage women of all religions and backgrounds to wear and experience the hijab for a day and to educate and spread awareness on why hijab is worn. Nazma Khan said her goal was also to normalize hijab wearing.
Mariah Idrissi is a British model, public speaker, and online personality. Idrissi initially gained recognition as the first Muslim hijab-wearing model when she appeared in multinational retailer, H&M's "Close the Loop" campaign in 2015; after which, Idrissi became a leading authority on "modest fashion" appearing on domestic and international news programmes on the subject. In 2016, Idrissi signed to Select modelling agency in 2016 and signed with Insanity Group Management in 2017.

Zeina Nassar is a German professional boxer of Lebanese descent. She is the current Berlin Boxer title-holder and in 2018 she won the German Women's Elite Championship in the ‘up to 57 kg’ weight category. Nassar helped to change the current rules for boxing matches in Germany so that women with headscarves can compete. She became an official Nike Athlete in 2017.

Moore works to combine her interests in physics and ballet through her research and dedication in both the arts and sciences. She is completing her residency at Harvard University's ArtLab where her work combines science and dance through the use of robots. Moore has a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Harvard University and a PhD in Atomic and Laser Physics from the University of Oxford. Merritt Moore has danced professionally for many ballet companies across the world including English National Ballet and Norwegian National Ballet. She has performed in Swan Lake and The Nutcracker among other ballets.
Rawdah Mohamed is a Norwegian-Somali model, Instagram model, blogger, healthcare professional and activist. She is known for her street style modelling and also regarded as a prominent advocate for the rights of Muslim women. She is currently represented by the model management company The Society Management. In April 2021, she started the hashtag campaign #Handsoffmyhijab, which became trending in social media.
