In 2008, he was named as coach of the new W-League club the Central Coast Mariners women's team. [2] Roche, who is a member of the Australian Coaching Council and holds an AFC 'B' License and is currently completing his AFC 'A' License, was delighted to learn of his appointment and is eager to contribute to what is a new era for football in Australia. [3] Roche coached the Mariners for two seasons before the team was cut from the W-League in 2010. [4]

Graham Arnold

Graham James Arnold is an Australian association football manager and former player. Arnold was appointed to work as an assistant coach of the Australian national football team in 2000. After head coach Frank Farina was sacked in 2005, Arnold worked with Guus Hiddink for the 2006 FIFA World Cup campaign, in which they made the second round of the finals. After Hiddink left, he became interim coach of the Socceroos. Arnold went on to Qualify the U23s for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Arnold then went on to assist Pim Verbeek for qualification of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Arnold went on take the manager role at A-League club the Central Coast Mariners between 2010 and 2013, where he guided the club to two premierships and a championship. He is a member of the Football Federation Australia Football Hall of Fame. Arnold went on to win two premierships, one championship and an FFA Cup with Sydney FC. In August 2018, Arnold was appointed head coach of the Socceroos.

The 2006–07 A-League was the 30th season of top-flight soccer in Australia, and the second season of the A-League since its establishment the previous season. Football Federation Australia hoped to build on the success of the first season and on the interest generated by the Socceroos competing in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Fox Sports had signed a A$120 million deal over 7 years for the exclusive broadcast rights of the A-League, AFC Champions League, and national team matches.

Patrick Zwaanswijk

Patrick Zwaanswijk is a Dutch ex-professional who is retired from professional football. A product of the Ajax Youth Academy, Zwaanswijk retired from professional football in 2013 following a successful career with Ajax FC, FC Utrecht, Oita Trinita, NAC Breda and Central Coast Mariners FC. He has played predominantly as a central defender throughout his career. After his career he played for and captained Southern & Ettalong United in Australia's Central Coast Premier League and Terrigal United. He is married to Leah Maree Zwaanswijk and has two children from his first marriage. He lives in Australia, North Avoca since 2015.

The 2007–08 A-League was the 31st season of top-flight soccer in Australia, and the third season of the A-League competition since its establishment in 2004. Football Federation Australia hoped to build on the success of the previous two seasons and on the interest generated by Sydney FC and Adelaide United playing in the 2007 AFC Champions League, and the Socceroos competing in the 2007 AFC Asian Cup.

W-League (Australia) Top womens football (soccer) league in Australia

The W-League is the top-division women's soccer league in Australia. The W-League was established in 2008 by Football Federation Australia and was composed of eight teams of which seven had an affiliation with an A-League club, and the other was a new entity based in Canberra. The league is currently contested by nine teams. The competition is known as the Westfield W-League through a sponsorship arrangement with the Westfield Group.

Michelle Heyman Australian soccer player

Michelle Pearl Heyman is an Australian soccer player and commentator who currently plays for Canberra United in the W-League in Australia. She has previously played for W-League teams Central Coast Mariners, Sydney FC, and Adelaide United as well as the Western New York Flash in the American National Women's Soccer League. Heyman has represented Australia since 2010, playing at the 2014 AFC Women's Asian Cup, the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics. In May 2019 she retired from international football.

Trent Lucas Sainsbury is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a centre back for Belgian First Division A club KV Kortrijk and the Australian national team.

The 2012–13 A-League was the 36th season of top-flight soccer in Australia, and the eighth season of the Australian A-League since its establishment in 2004. The 2012–13 season saw the introduction of a new Western Sydney-based team, the return of Newcastle Jets FC after their A-League licence was returned by FFA, and the end of Gold Coast United after they were removed from the competition at the end of the previous season. The 2018–19 Central Coast Mariners FC season was the club's 14th season since its establishment in 2004. The club participated in the A-League for the 14th time and the FFA Cup for the fifth time.

The 2020–21 A-League is the 44th season of national level soccer in Australia, and the 16th since the establishment of the A-League in 2004. The season was started on 28 December 2020 and scheduled to conclude no later than 30 June 2021. The start of the season is later than previous seasons as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia and New Zealand, as well as part of a gradual shift to move the competition from summer to winter. Wellington Phoenix play their home matches on Australian soil due to travel restrictions.

The 2020–21 season is the sixteenth season of the current professional domestic soccer competition in Australia.

The 2020–21 Central Coast Mariners FC season is the club's 16th season since its establishment in 2004. The club will participate in the A-League for the 16th time. The club will not compete in the 2020 FFA Cup due to the event being cancelled following the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia.
