The Wise Little Hen is a 1934 Walt Disney's Silly Symphony cartoon, based on the fable The Little Red Hen. The cartoon features the debut of Donald Duck, dancing to "The Sailor's Hornpipe". Donald and his friend Peter Pig try to avoid work by faking stomach aches until Mrs. Hen teaches them the value of labor.

The NFL held two Divisional Playoff games on Christmas Day in 1971 when the regular season only spanned a 14-week period. This proved unpopular, and the league avoided Christmas Day games until 1989 to 2019, when the NFL typically scheduled games on Christmas Day if it fell on a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. Beginning in 2020, the league has scheduled at least one Christmas game every season, even when the holiday falls on a day in which the NFL does not usually schedule games.

In their third year under head coach Howard Acher, the Golden Hurricane compiled a 1–6–1 record. The team played its home games at McNulty Park in Tulsa.
Howard Mossman Acher was an American college football and college basketball player and coach. He attended Grove City College, where he played football, basketball and tennis. He was hired as a coach at Grove City College in July 1915. He served as the head football coach at Grove City in 1916 and 1919 and as head basketball coach from 1915 to 1917 and 1918 to 1920. He next served at the University of Tulsa from 1922 to 1925. He was also the head football coach for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team during the 1922, 1923 and 1924 seasons.
