Steve Baker (born 25 June 1963) is a former international speedway rider from Australia. [1]
Baker reached the final of the Speedway World Pairs Championship in the 1987 Speedway World Pairs Championship. [2] Also in 1987, he finished runner up in the Australian Championship. [3]
He rode in the top tier of British Speedway from 1981 to 1985, riding for various clubs. [4] He was the 1983 European Junior Champion, a competition that non-European riders could enter. [1]
Bruce Lee Penhall is an American former professional motorcycle speedway racer who later starred in television and in film. He was the World Speedway Champion in 1981 and 1982 and rode for the successful Cradley Heath Heathens speedway team in the United Kingdom. He retired from speedway racing the night he won his second World Championship in 1982 in front of his home crowd at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
