Biography

In 1997, Hillard founded Council Tree Communications, a private equity fund, that assisted the first significant Native American investment in a television network and investments in telecommunications providers [1] [2] [3]

In 2011, Hillard's first book, Mirkwood: A Novel About JRR Tolkien , was involved in an intellectual property controversy. [4] [5] [6] The dispute was settled in May 2011. [7] The settlement terms included the disclaimer, "This is a work of fiction which is neither endorsed nor connected with The JRR Tolkien Estate or its publisher."

Charles William Ergen is an American billionaire businessman. He is co-founder and chairman of Dish Network and EchoStar. He stepped down as CEO of Dish in May 2011 in favor of Joseph Clayton. Ergen resumed as CEO upon Clayton's March 2015 retirement and was CEO until December 2017, when he promoted president and COO Erik Carlson to CEO, but remains as chairman. Reuters reported that the move was effected to remove the day-to-day responsibilities of running DISH and provide more time for Ergen to build out the company’s emerging wireless business. Ergen owns 48 percent of Dish and 46 percent of Echostar shares. He holds 78 percent of Dish's and 72 percent of EchoStar's total voting power.

Mirkwood is a name used for a great dark fictional forest in novels by Sir Walter Scott and William Morris in the 19th century, and by J. R. R. Tolkien in the 20th century. The critic Tom Shippey explains that the name evoked the excitement of the wildness of Europe's ancient North.

Tikona Infinet Limited

Tikona Infinet Limited (TIL), referred to simply as Tikona, is an India Internet service provider based in Mumbai. Tikona has an all-India Class-A ISP licence granted by the Ministry of Communications, government of India. The company started its operations as TDN in 2008 to provide home WIBRO services. Later the company acquired HCL Infinet from HCL Infosystems to expand its data services to Enterprises which is currently operating as Tikona Infinet Limited. In March 2017 Bharti Airtel acquired Tikona 4G business including wireless broadband access spectrum. After announcement of this deal the home WIBRO business of Tikona Digital Networks Pvt Ltd was absorbed by the Tikona Infinet limited.

Tauriel Fictional character added to the movie adaptation of The Hobbit

Tauriel is a fictional character from Peter Jackson's feature film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. The character does not appear in the original book, but was created by Peter Jackson, Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh as an expansion of material adapted from the book. She appears in the second and third films in that trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

wi-tribe Pakistani internet provider

wi-tribe is an internet services provider operating in Pakistan. It operates in the following four major cities, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi. Wi-tribe is the first one in Pakistan, as well as South Asia and the Middle East, to launch LTE-Advanced (4.5G) to users. The company shut down its services in Lahore after a major issue with the company (EDOTCO) managing their towers. As of 2021, the services were never restored again. Apparently the reason of the dispute between both companies was Wi-Tribe not been able to pay EDOTCO for maintaining the towers, in retaliation EDOTCO shut down the towers in major cities leading to an uncertainty among the people about whether they will ever be restored again.

Joel Eisenberg is a writer-producer, whose current eight-book fantasy saga with co-author Steve Hillard, The Chronicles of Ara, was sold to Ovation TV for an eight-hour miniseries. The deal was unique for a network in that the series was published by the independent Incorgnito Press, and was printed digitally on-demand. He is represented by CAA.
