Steve Roslonek is an American children's music performer whose band SteveSongs has garnered several awards from parenting organizations, such as the Parents' Choice Award and the iParenting Media Awards. His music is featured on the Miss Lori and Hooper segments of PBS Kids Preschool Destination, where he appears as "Mr. Steve" and performs original songs between other programs. [1]

Prior to his career as a recording artist, Roslonek graduated from Wesleyan University [2] and performed with a professional a cappella group on Martha's Vineyard. [3] After graduation, he worked as a business and technology consultant with Andersen Consulting. He began performing in 1997 and moved to a full-time recording career in 1999. He tours extensively around the country, performing between 200 and 400 concerts in a year. [4]

Roslonek resides with his wife and children in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

<i>Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman</i> American animated television series

Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman is an American live-action/animated television series that aired on PBS Kids Go! and is largely targeted toward children ages 6-10. It is a reality-game show that is hosted by an animated anthropomorphic dog named Ruff Ruffman who dispenses challenges to the show's real-life contestants. The series ran for five seasons and 100 episodes from May 29, 2006, to November 4, 2010, on PBS, with 30 contestants in that time. Although a sixth season was planned, with auditions taking place in January 2010, WGBH announced on June 14, 2010, that due to lack of funding, the series would end. In June 2008, the series received its first Emmy for Best Original Song for its theme.

The Naked Brothers Band is a 2005 American children's musical comedy film written and directed by Polly Draper, which stars her sons, Nat Wolff and Alex Wolff, who portray members of a fictional rock group. It tells of the boys' struggles with their fame and an internal dispute that causes the band to split before reuniting in the end. The film is emboldened by Nat's band, The Silver Boulders, which he created in preschool with his friends Joshua Kaye, Thomas Batuello, and David Levi, who all act as themselves. It also includes Allie DiMeco as Nat's fictional female interest, the siblings' real-life cousin Jesse Draper as the group's babysitter, Draper's husband Michael Wolff playing his sons' widowed accordion-playing dad, and real life friends Cooper Pillot and Cole Hawkins portraying the other members of the band.

Greg & Steve are a musical duo based in Los Angeles, California. The duo, composed of Greg Scelsa and Steve Millang, has been performing and recording children's music since 1975. Scelsa and Millang both perform as vocalists and guitarists. They have recorded 20 albums, one music video compilation, and one live concert DVD. Parachute Express was an American band of three California-based entertainers who performed, wrote, and produced music for children. Members were Stephen Michael Schwartz, Janice Hubbard, and Donny Becker. Parachute Express gained national prominence as recording artists for Gymboree Play & Music, Walt Disney Records, and Trio Lane Records. They sang the theme song to the popular television series Jay Jay the Jet Plane and have been seen on TV shows Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. Rocks and Disney's Kaleidoscope Concerts. Music from and Inspired by Bridge to Terabithia is the accompanying soundtrack to the 2007 fantasy drama film Bridge to Terabithia, directed by Gábor Csupó, based on the 1977 novel of the same name by Katherine Paterson. The film's musical score was initially set to be composed by country singer-musician Alison Krauss, but left the project in July 2006 and Aaron Zigman was hired to score for the film. Zigman composed the score for the film within six months. The album consists of multiple pop and rock singles, performed by various artists including Miley Cyrus, Hayden Panettiere, Jon McLaughlin, Tyler James, Leigh Nash, AnnaSophia Robb amongst several others. The album was released by Hollywood Records on February 13, 2007.

<i>Ready Jet Go!</i> Television series

Ready Jet Go! is a computer-animated educational children's television series produced by Wind Dancer Films. The series aired new episodes on PBS Kids from February 15, 2016 to May 6, 2019, although re-runs continue to this day. It was created by animator and Hey Arnold! creator Craig Bartlett, and is produced in cooperation with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The show teaches science and astronomy.
