Stephen Dennis Surridge (born 17 July 1970) is the founder of Forbury (Commercial Real Estate Property Valuations Software) and also a former New Zealand rugby union player.
Surridge received his Engineering degree from the University of Auckland in 1992 and then completed a postgraduate diploma in Manufacturing Management at the University of Cambridge in the UK in 1996. From 2000 to 2003 in Sydney, he gained a postgraduate diploma in finance and investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
A number 8, Surridge represented Auckland and Canterbury at a provincial level and the Crusaders in Super Rugby. He was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, on the 1997 tour of Britain and Ireland, playing in three matches but no internationals. By the time he finished in top rugby, Steve had played 29 Super 12 matches for the Crusaders and 28 matches for Canterbury. He had a leading role in the NPC first division title win in 1997 and was in the Crusaders in the Super 12 championship wins of 1998 and 1999. [1]
From 2002 to 2007, Surridge spent five years of his professional career working with Ernst & Young as a financial modeling consultant. From 2008 to 2016, Steve pursued a corporate career and became the Chief Financial Officer for the New Zealand companies Solid Energy and Tait Communications.
Surridge starting developing a customised valuation tool for major players in the commercial real estate industry in Australasia. This work highlighted a common need in commercial real estate investment tools and resulted in the development of a bespoke solution for property valuation, which led to the formation of Forbury in 2003. Richard Hugh McCaw is a retired New Zealand professional rugby union player. He captained the New Zealand national team, the All Blacks, in 110 out of his 148 test matches, and won two Rugby World Cups. He has won the World Rugby Player of the Year award a joint record three times and was the most capped test rugby player of all time from August 2015 to October 2020. McCaw was awarded World Rugby player of the decade (2011–2020) in 2021. McCaw is also a winner of the New Zealand sportsman of the decade award.
Caleb Stan Ralph is a New Zealand rugby union footballer. Ralph began his first-class career with Bay of Plenty, then moved to Auckland before heading to Canterbury. He started his Super Rugby career with the Chiefs in 1997, Blues (1998–1999), Crusaders (2000–2008) and a cameo role with the Queensland Reds (2011). He made his All Black debut while playing for Auckland in 1998.
Leon Raymond MacDonald is a retired New Zealand rugby union footballer, and former head coach for the Auckland Blues rugby team, who played 56 tests for the national team, the All Blacks. He played as a first five-eighth (fly-half), centre, and fullback.
Robert Maxwell Deans is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former player, currently the head coach of Japanese club Saitama Wild Knights. He was head coach of the Australian national team between 2008 and 2013. Deans previously coached the Crusaders for eight seasons and was an assistant coach of New Zealand between late 2001 and 2003. As the coach of the Crusaders, Deans won three Super 12 titles and two Super 14). He also coached Canterbury in the National Provincial Championship, winning the title in 1997. As a player, Deans represented Canterbury, first playing at fly half, and later fullback. He also played nineteen matches for the All Blacks, including five tests.
Johnny Leo'o is a New Zealand rugby union footballer. His usual position is at Flanker. He is 1.85m tall and weighs 100 kg. He played for Canterbury in the NPC and he also represented Crusaders in the Super 14 rugby competition. He played 60 games for Canterbury and 6 games for Bay of Plenty. He made his debut in 1999 for Bay of Plenty against Auckland. He made his Super Rugby debut for the Crusaders against the Stormers in the 2002 Super 12 season. He is part Samoan and for that reason the Samoa Rugby Football Union wanted him to play for Samoa but he declined and he went on to play for the New Zealand sevens team in 2000 and 2001 before being capped again at national level in 2006 when he made the Junior All Blacks. He played in over 40 matches for the Crusaders scoring 5 tries. He now plays his rugby for Racing Métro 92 in the Top 14 competition.
George Braeden Whitelock is a former New Zealand rugby union player. He played for the Crusaders in the Super Rugby competition and Canterbury in the Air New Zealand Cup. He played as a flanker.
