Steve Wood (born 23 June 1963) is an English former footballer who played in The Football League for Macclesfield Town. [1]

Career

Wood started his career at Chadderton, followed by short stints at Mossley, [2] Droylsden, Stalybridge Celtic [3] and Ashton United before joining Macclesfield Town at the beginning of the 1993–94 season, making his debut in a 5–1 defeat at Bath. [4] With Macclesfield he won the Conference League Cup in 1994, the FA Trophy in 1996, and the Football Conference in 1995 and 1997. After the club's promotion to the Football League Wood signed his first professional contract. [5] Wood stayed with the club until 2001, after which he returned to Stalybridge Celtic, where he played for one season before retiring.

William Dennis was an English footballer. His regular position was at full back. He was born in Mossley, Lancashire. He played for Ashton PSA and Denton before joining the army during World War I during which time he also featured for Birkenhead Comets, Linfield and Tranmere Rovers. Post-war he joined Stalybridge Celtic then was signed by First Division Blackburn Rovers. After a short spell at Ewood Park he re-joined Stalybridge in time to play in the Football League for them. He moved back to the First Division with Manchester United for a short lived spell prior to joining the club with whom he was to have his longest association Chesterfield. He finished his League career with Wigan Borough, before leaving the cash-strapped club for Cheshire League football with first Macclesfield and then Hurst. Aged 37 he joined Mossley as trainer, also making one appearance for his home town club.

George Edgar Smollett Sievwright is a Scottish former footballer who played as a wing half Sievwright began his career with Dundee Junior club Broughty Athletic before going senior in the late 1950s with Dundee United. He played in seven league fixtures for United during the 1961–62 season and once during the following season. After leaving Tannadice in 1963, Sievwright joined Oldham Athletic in a £500 deal.
