Steven "Afterburner" Turner [1] (born January 18, 1987) is a Canadian former professional football running back and slotback. He was drafted 30th overall by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2010 CFL Draft. He played college football for the Bishop's Gaiters.
Turner attended Bishop's University where he played college football for the Bishop's Gaiters from 2006 to 2009 under former Toronto Argonaut Leroy Blugh.
Turner turned heads at the CFL Evaluation Camp after he broke the E-Camp record of 4.39 seconds for the 40-yard dash by recording his own mark of 4.31 seconds. The previous record had been set by former teammate Jamall Lee at the previous year's E-Camp. Turner finished in first or at least tied for first in the 40-yard dash, the shuttle, the vertical leap and the standing broad leap [2] After his impressive performance at the E-Camp, he was ranked as the 14th best player available in the 2010 CFL Draft in the Canadian Football League’s Amateur Scouting Bureau rankings. [3] On May 2, 2010, Turner was selected with the 30th overall pick by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2010 CFL Draft.
Turner signed through the 2012 season with the Argonauts on May 21, 2010. [4] [5] On June 7, 2010, he ruptured his left Achilles tendon during training camp, leaving his 2010 CFL season debut in doubt. [6] On June 24, 2010, Turner was released by the Argonauts. On December 7, 2010, Turner was re-signed by the Argonauts. He was released by the Argonauts on June 8, 2011.
Turner was signed to the practice roster of the Edmonton Eskimos on October 15, 2012. [7] He was released on May 8, 2013. [7]
Arland Richard Bruce III is an American former professional football wide receiver who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and National Football League (NFL). He is a two-time Grey Cup champion, having won in 2004 with the Toronto Argonauts and in 2011 with the BC Lions. He played 12 seasons in the CFL with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, BC Lions, and Montreal Alouettes. During the 2011 season, he became the 14th CFL receiver to record over 10,000 yards receiving in a career. Bruce also played in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers.
Ronald L. Flemons is an American former professional football defensive lineman. He attended John Marshall High School and Texas A&M University. Flemons was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL draft. He spent brief stints with several National Football League (NFL) teams before signing on in the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2006.

The CFL Combine is a three-day program in which athletes from Canadian universities and Canadians in the NCAA are scouted by general managers, coaches and scouts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The goal of the camp is for the nine CFL franchises to have a better idea of whom they would like to draft in the CFL draft which usually takes place roughly six weeks after the camp. The first combined Evaluation Camp took place in 2000 in Toronto and continued every year in Toronto until 2016 when it was announced that Regina would host the combine in 2017. It was also suggested that the league would begin rotating the Combine hosts every year. Winnipeg hosted in 2018 and the event returned to Toronto in 2019 and 2020 with the hiatus of the CFL Week event. In 2021, the event was purely remote due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada but was brought back to Toronto in 2022. The event's hosts began to rotate again with Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Regina hosting in the three subsequent years.
