Stewart Layton (born 24 April 1981) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who played for Cambridgeshire. He was born in Wisbech.
Layton, who represented Cambridgeshire in the Minor Counties Championship between 2003 and 2006, made a single List A appearance for the side, during the 2004 C&G Trophy, against Northamptonshire. From the tailend, he scored 0 not out.

John Gilbert Layton was a Canadian academic and politician who served as the leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) from 2003 to 2011 and leader of the Official Opposition in 2011. He previously sat on Toronto City Council, occasionally holding the title of acting mayor or deputy mayor of Toronto during his tenure as city councillor. Layton was the member of Parliament (MP) for Toronto—Danforth from 2004 until his death.

The Peterborough ditch murders were a series of murders which took place in Cambridgeshire, England, in March 2013. All three victims were male and died from stab wounds. Their bodies were discovered dumped in ditches outside Peterborough. In Hereford, two other men were stabbed but survived. The perpetrator was Joanna Christine Dennehy, a Cambridgeshire woman, who was later sentenced to life imprisonment with a whole life order.
