FK Mjølner is a Norwegian football club from Narvik. It currently plays in the 3. divisjon, after having been relegated from the 2. divisjon in 2019. The club played at the top tier in 1972 and 1989.
Per-Mathias Høgmo is a football manager from Norway and former player. He is the former manager of the Norway national football team. He has previously been head coach of Norway women's national football team and the Tippeligaen sides Tromsø, Moss and Rosenborg. While being head coach of Tromsø he was working on a PhD in football at the university in Tromsø.

It was made for clubs from Northern Norway, because these were not allowed admission into the All-Norwegian cup until 1963. Terje Skarsfjord was a Norwegian football player and manager. A native of Narvik, he spent the majority of his playing career at his hometown club Mjølner in the 1960s and 1970s, and also lived a period in Trondheim where he played for FK Kvik. After his playing career ended, he managed his former club Mjølner, but became more famous as manager of Tromsø, whom he guided to victory in the Norwegian Football Cup in 1996.

The end of the pre-season and the start of the season were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After two months, the season was confirmed to start 16 June, with full training starting from 7 May. This was Eirik Horneland's second season as Rosenborg manager, but he was let go after only 3 matches. Trond Henriksen took over as interim manager until Åge Hareide was appointed new manager. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic only 200 fans were allowed in the stadiums the first 20 rounds, while 600 fans were allowed in the remaining 10 rounds.
