Stig Larsson (born November 22, 1947) is a Swedish retired ice hockey player.

Career

Larsson began playing hockey in Nacka SK, [1] but joined Djurgårdens IF, where he played until he ended his career. He was part of Sweden's 1972 World Championship team that won bronze. [2] Larsson became team captain for the 1976–77 season.

Larsson was awarded "Rinkens Riddare", as the gentleman of the 1977–78 season. [3] When he ended his playing career in 1979, Mats Waltin succeeded him as team captain. [4] Larsson worked as an assistant coach under Bert-Ola Nordlander during the 1980–81 season. [4]

Jacob Peter Josefson is a Swedish former professional ice hockey centre who last played for Djurgårdens IF of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). After Josefson began playing hockey at the age of five, he was acquired by Djurgården's youth organization at the age of ten, where he also began playing junior hockey in 2005. Josefson made his Elitserien debut on 28 February 2008, against Timrå IK, and became a regular member of Djurgården's senior team. His achievements in the Swedish Elitserien drew attention from NHL and he was selected in the first round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the New Jersey Devils, 20th overall. Josefson played with Djurgården for an additional season, before signing with the Devils in May 2010 and played for them until 2017 when he left for the Buffalo Sabres.

Jens Erik Öhling is a retired professional Swedish ice hockey player. He played for Djurgårdens IF during most of his professional career. He made his debut in Elitserien in 1979 against Västra Frölunda. Öhling was the team captain during the 1995–96 season. After 18 seasons in Djurgården, Öhling ended his career in Södertälje SK in 1998. The number 11 has been retired in his honour by Djurgården.

Hardy Nilsson is a Swedish retired ice hockey player and coach. During his playing career he mainly played for Skellefteå AIK where he won the Swedish championships in 1978. In 1978 Nilsson moved to the German team Kölner Haie where he was very successful, scoring 21 goals and 102 points in 45 games. He ended his playing career in Örebro IK.

Gunnar Svensson was a Swedish ice hockey player, head coach and sports agent.

Lars-Fredrik Nyström is a retired Swedish ice hockey player. He started his professional career in Skellefteå AIK where he played until 1977 when he joined Djurgårdens IF. He ended his playing career after the 1981–82 season in the same club. During the following season Nyström became assistant coach to head coach Gunnar Svensson. When Svensson was fired January 21, 1986, Nyström along with former Djurgården player and team captain Håkan Eriksson coached Djurgården for the rest of the 1985–86 season. He later became head coach for Rögle BK.

Hans Särkijärvi is a Swedish ice hockey coach and former player. Särkijärvi started his playing career in his hometown team Kiruna AIF in 1973. He only played a few games in the senior team before moving to Stockholm-based Djurgårdens IF. The eight seasons he spent in Djurgården included a Swedish championship in 1983. Särkijärvi joined Södertälje SK for the 1983–84 season, where he also won a Swedish championship in 1985. After six seasons in Södertälje Särkijärvi ended his elite playing career and started to play in Sollefteå HK where he only stayed for one season. The last club he played for was IFK Lidingö during the 1990–91 season. He is currently head coach of tier 3 team Visby/Roma HK.

Håkan Lars Elias Eriksson is a retired Swedish ice hockey player. Eriksson began playing hockey in Bjurfors IF but was acquired by Skellefteå AIK in 1974. He became Swedish champions with Skellefteå in 1978, and was a part of Sweden's 1979 World Championship team that won bronze. During the following season he was also part of Sweden's Olympic team in the 1980 Winter Olympics. After four seasons with Skellefteå, Eriksson moved to Stockholm and Djurgårdens IF. He won his second Swedish championship in 1983 with Djurgården. He was the team captain for two seasons, from 1982 to 1984, when he finished his career in Djurgården. During his final season in Djurgården he was again part of Sweden's Olympic team in the 1984 Winter Olympics. He became assistant coach in the same team along with Lars-Fredrik Nyström for the rest of the 1985–86 season when Gunnar Svensson was fired on 21 January 1986. He ended his playing career in 1987 after two seasons in IFK Lidingö.

Karl-Erik Lilja is a retired Swedish ice hockey player. Lilja began playing hockey in Hammarby IF's youth organisation but moved to Södertälje SK in 1976 to play in the Swedish Elitserien. After two seasons in Södertälje, he returned to his first club for one season. The team reached the playoff to Elitserien, but lost in the first round against Timrå IK. The following season, Lilja moved to Djurgårdens IF where he would spend the rest of his playing career. In 1983 he won the Swedish championship with Djurgården, and became team captain in 1986. He kept the title until 1988. During his two last seasons in Djurgården, he won two Swedish championships.
