Stonglandseidet is a village in the municipality of Tranøy in Troms county, Norway. The village has a population (2001) of 225. [2] The village is home to a grocery store, bank, nursing home, Stonglandet Church, and a public school.
Tranøy is a municipality in Troms county, Norway. The municipality is situated on the southern coast of the large island of Senja. The administrative centre is the village of Vangsvik in the eastern part of the municipality. Other important villages include Stonglandseidet, Skrollsvika, and Å.

The village is located at the southern end of the island of Senja on the isthmus connecting the main part of the island to the Stonglandet peninsula. It is located about 41 km (25 mi) northeast of the city of Harstad, across the Vågsfjorden. The village of Å is 8 km (5.0 mi) to the west, and the municipal center of Vangsvik is 32 km (20 mi) to the northeast.
Senja (Norwegian) or Sážžá (Northern Sami) is an island and future municipality in Troms county, Norway. At 1,586.3-square-kilometre (612.5 sq mi), it is the second largest island in Norway. It has a wild, mountainous outer (western) side facing the Atlantic, and a mild and lush inner (eastern) side. The island is governed by four municipalities: Torsken, Tranøy, Lenvik, and Berg, however in on 1 January 2020, the four municipalities are scheduled to be merged into one large Senja Municipality. The island of Senja had 7,864 inhabitants as of 1 January 2017. Most of the residents live along the eastern coast of the island, with Silsand being the largest urban area on the island. The fishing village of Gryllefjord on the west coast has a summer-only ferry connection to the nearby island of Andøya: the Andenes–Gryllefjord Ferry.

The 11.15-square-kilometre (2,760-acre) town has a population (2017) of 20,953 which gives the town a population density of 1,879 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,870/sq mi). It is the second-largest town in Troms county, after the city of Tromsø, and it is the largest town in Central Hålogaland.

Fauskevåg is a village in Harstad Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located on the island of Hinnøya, along the Vågsfjorden, about 20 km (12 mi) south of the town of Harstad. The population (2001) of Fauskevåg is 341. The village has an elementary school called Fauskevåg skole with grades 1 through 4.
Vangsvik or Vangsvika is a village in Tranøy Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The village, which is the administrative centre of the municipality, has a population of about 350. The village has a school, Vangsvik Chapel, store, and medical office. There is also a large fish farming facility nearby. The Senja Rutebil has its headquarters in Vangsvik.
Skjolden is a village in the municipality of Luster in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located at the end of the Lustrafjorden, a branch of the Sognefjorden. Skjolden is located at the innermost point of the Sognefjorden, Norway's longest fjord, and the length of the Sognefjorden is measured from Skjolden to the island of Ytre Sula where the fjord meets the ocean—over 200 km. The valleys of Mørkridsdal and Fortunsdal meet at Skjolden, just west of the Hurrungane mountains. Skjolden is home to about 200 people.
Hillesøy is a former municipality in Troms county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1855 until its dissolution in 1964. It was located on both sides of the Malangen fjord in what is now the present-day municipalities of Tromsø and Lenvik. The administrative centre was located at Brensholmen on the western shore of the island of Kvaløya. Brensholmen is also the location of Hillesøy Church, the main church for the municipality.

Å is a village in Tranøy Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The village is home to 132 residents (2001). The village is about 36 kilometres (22 mi) across the Vågsfjorden from the city of Harstad. There is a daycare in Å, but the school, church, and stores are located 8 km (5.0 mi) to the east in the neighboring village of Stonglandseidet.
Silda is an island in Vågsøy Municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The 1.1-square-kilometre (0.42 sq mi) island is located 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) northeast of the large island of Vågsøy in the Sildagapet bay and about 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) west of the island of Barmøya. Silda sits about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of the small village of Langenes and about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northeast of Raudeberg, both on the island of Vågsøy. This island is the site of the 1810 Battle of Silda. In 2001, there were 38 inhabitants on the island, which is only accessible by boat.

The village is located on the north side of the island of Vågsøy, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) northeast of the village of Refvika, 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of Langenes, and about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north of Raudeberg. The population (2001) of Vedvik is 156.

It is located along the lake Rossfjordsvatnet about 7 km (4.3 mi) south of the village of Rossfjordstraumen and about 14 km (8.7 mi) northeast of the town of Finnsnes. The village of Bjorelvnes lies about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of Langnes. The population (2001) of the village is 189.

The village is located in Tranøy Municipality, west of the villages of Å and Stonglandseidet. This village has an important ferry connection with the nearby town of Harstad which is located across the Vågsfjorden to the southwest. Skrolsvik Chapel is located in this village.
Stonglandet Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Tranøy Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the village of Stonglandseidet on the south side of the island of Senja. It is the main church for the Tranøy parish which is part of the Senja prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1896 by the architect Ole Scheistrøen. The church seats about 240 people.
