Storefriendly was started by Kevin Chan in 2002 with its fully self-owned storage facility, "Storefriendly Centre", in Singapore. Johansen and Chan started the Singapore expansion in 2011 with the first branch in Bukit Batok. [7] [8] [9] SingPost acquired the company in 2015. Storefriendly subsequently relaunched in 2019 with its flagship branch in Paya Lebar. [7] [10] [11]
In 2021, the company opened the Storefriendly Tower in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. [12] This was a self owned facility and notably included robotic storage, [13] AI-powered facilities [14] [15] among other digital focused technologies. [4] [16] [17]
