StormRegion was a Hungarian video game developer best known for the games Rush for Berlin and Codename: Panzers . They also have built their own game engine called Gepard with tools. In 2007, StormRegion was acquired by the German company 10tacle Studios AG. After a financially unstable 10tacle Studios AG ceased to pay salaries in April 2008, StormRegion lost its employees and was forced to close its Budapest office. [2]
In 2006, StormRegion initiated a lawsuit against Mithis Entertainment, claiming that former StormRegion developers who quit the company and joined Mithis have stolen sourcecode from the StormRegion engine. [3] [4]
The name "Stormregion" is an approximate translation of the Hungarian term "viharsarok" ("storm corner"), a historical name for the south-east (e.g. Békés county) of Hungary.
In 2015, former employees Péter Bajusz and Attila Bánki-Horváth (developers of S.W.I.N.E. ) founded a new company called Kite Games.

The player chooses to fight as either the brutal invading pigs or the campy rabbits, and plays a series of missions. There are many units, including mortar, artillery, and tank units. There are also 10 multiplayer maps, each with many modes of play, including capture the flag and deathmatch. In 2005, S.W.I.N.E. was made available to download for free by its developer, StormRegion. Owing to the GameSpy shutdown, multiplayer is no longer available.
Antoine "T. T." Toliver is a former arena football wide receiver. He played football and basketball at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. In 1995, he was named the Class 5A Player of the Year in football and was also runner-up for Florida's Mr. Football Award. In basketball, Toliver helped Mainland win the Class 6A state championship in 1995 and 1996. He played college football and basketball at Hinds Community College, where he was named the 1997–98 Junior College Player of the Year as a quarterback. CDV Software Entertainment AG was a German publisher of video games founded 1989 in Karlsruhe. In April 2000 CDV became a Frankfurt stock market traded company. In the beginning of the 2000s, CDV was the biggest German publisher in the German video game market. As of the 2006 annual financial statements, the company also reported balance sheet over-indebtedness of EUR 1.9 million, which is, however, covered by a subordinated loan taken out in 2005 in the amount of EUR 3.8 million. The company's financial position is based on a balance sheet of EUR 1.9 million. They opened a UK office in 2008. In 2010, VG247 reported that they filed for preliminary insolvency when SouthPeak Games failed to pay a settlement. After only a few employees were still working in the company and the share price had been tumbling for some time, CDV filed for bankruptcy on 12 April 2010.
Auryn Quest is a jump and run adventure game based on Michael Ende's novel The Neverending Story and his film adaptation of the same name. Originally developed by Discreet Monsters, "bad luck and mishaps" left the company bankrupt, and the game was eventually completed by Attraction. Initially an ambitious adventure game, bankruptcy forced the release to be reworked into a first-person action, 3D platformer jump game vaguely based on its source material. The first entry in a subsequently abandoned series, it became the sole game project for Discreet Monsters.
