Strait Zooism is the fourth and final studio album released by rap group Poison Clan. It was released on November 7, 1995 through Warlock Records and was produced by Mike "Fresh" McCray and JT Money. Strait Zooism proved to be the least successful of the group's albums, only peaking at #80 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. This album was also Poison Clan's only album not released through Luke Records, as the group had left the record label due to a money dispute with Luther Campbell.

It was recorded from August 19 to 21, 1969, at Columbia's Studio B in New York City and released on March 30, 1970 by Columbia Records. Playa Fly is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. Pursuing a solo career as Playa Fly, he released one independent album before signing a three-album contract with Super Sigg Records. During that period he had many underground hits, perhaps the most famous being "Nobody Needs Nobody". "The Girl That I Hate" is a 1990 song by Southern Hip Hop group Poison Clan that originally appeared on their debut album 2 Low Life Muthas. The song peaked at #18 on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart and was released as a 12-inch single. As is the case with nearly all songs that the group released as a single for radio airplay, some of the lyrics were altered in the radio edit to remove the strong, profane language that dominated the original album version. The song would later appear nearly a decade later on Poison Clan's 1999 greatest hits album The Best of JT Money & Poison Clan.
