Strange Hexes is the second album by Imaad Wasif. [3] [4] It was self-released in 2008. [5] It was recorded with his backing band, Two Part Beast. [6] [7]
Variety wrote that "Wasif explores rich guitar-based psychedelic pop that’s less introspective and slightly heavier than the songs found on his 2005 self-titled debut." [8] LA Weekly called the record "an unabashed rock record, with hints of classic rock, prog and post-punk underscoring Wasif’s euphonious vocal melodies and fascination with the spiritual." [5] The Dallas Observer called it "a great collection of psychedelic folk rock that recalls Dylan fronting Black Sabbath with Ravi Shankar producing." [9]

Toadies are an American rock band formed in 1989 in Fort Worth, Texas, best known for the song "Possum Kingdom". The band's classic lineup consisted of Vaden Todd Lewis, Lisa Umbarger, Darrel Herbert, and Mark Reznicek (drums). It formed in 1989 and disbanded in 2001 after Umbarger left the group. The band reformed and released the album No Deliverance in 2008. In 2010, they re-released the album Feeler with Kirtland Records. The band's most recent album, The Lower Side of Uptown, was released in September 2017.

Indie pop is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. Josh Garza is an American musician and drummer for the New York City–based rock band The Secret Machines, as well as the Los Angeles–based rock band EFG. Originally from the Dallas, Texas area, Garza formed the Secret Machines with brothers Ben and Brandon Curtis, and EFG with guitarist and vocalist, Imaad Wasif, later joined by bassist and engineer, Tom Biller.[1] He was part of the original lineup for the noise pop band COMET, and in the late 1990s, Captain Audio.[2]

He was also a part of The Black Keys' live band during their 2014–2015 tour, performing as their touring bassist and backing singer.

Stephen Duncan wrote the band's songs with influences including David Bowie, the Beatles, the Flaming Lips, Led Zeppelin and the Shins. The band has two albums including The Chemistry Set, released in 2004, and Blue Monsters, which was self-released in 2006.
"Strawberry Swing" is a song by British rock band Coldplay. On 13 September 2009, it was released as the fifth and final single from the band's fourth studio album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008). The song was written by the members of the band and was produced by Markus Dravs, Brian Eno, Jon Hopkins and Rik Simpson. Tours with Sebadoh, Karp, Unwound, Hovercraft, Caustic Resin, The Lies, Faith No More, and Chokebore helped gain them a national as well as international following.
Strange Little Birds is the sixth studio album by American rock band Garbage. It was released on June 10, 2016, through the band's own record label, Stunvolume. It is their second independent album release, and follows 2012's Not Your Kind of People. The album's press release describes Strange Little Birds as "a sweeping, cinematic record of a unified mood: darkness".
