Stu Williamson (born 5 August 1956, in Oadby, Leicestershire, England) is a portrait photographer based in Leicestershire, UK. He grew up in England but has a mix of Scottish and Irish ancestry. Prior to his career in photography he was drummer for the Scottish pop rock group The Marmalade from 1978 to 1980 and performed on their 1978 album Doing It All For You. [1] He then directed his artistic talents towards photography and has continued in this field ever since.
Williamson specialises in monochrome photography and fine art portraiture influenced by European Mediaeval Artists. He has gained commissions for architectural photography in Dubai from Giorgio Armani at the Burj Khalifa and the Jumeriah Group’s Burj Al Arab. [2] He is also the inventor of the Tri-flector, a photographic lighting reflector intended to offer the photographer greater versatility.
Williamson worked as a photographer for the artwork on the 1998 Cradle of Filth album Cruelty And The Beast. [3]
Williamson has won many photographic awards in Europe, which have included Black and White Photographer of the Year, Fine Art Photographer of the Year and Architecture Exterior Photographer of the Year 2010 [4] [5] for his photograph of the Burj Khalifa.
Most recently in 2016, he won the UK Master Photographer of the Year 2016/17 award. [6] [7] [8]
Williamson originally established the Stu Williamson Photography business in Cornwall before moving to Market Harborough, Leicestershire, in 1997.[ citation needed ] In 2006, Williamson moved the business to Dubai.[ citation needed ]
In 2013, after investment from an entrepreneur friend, Williamson sold his majority stake in the Dubai business and subsequently returned to the UK [9] where he continues his photography business from his studio in Kibworth, Leicestershire. [10]
Williamson is also a Medium and is actively involved in ghost hunting. [11]

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is an Emirati royal and politician who has been the Crown Prince of Dubai since 2008. He previously served as deputy ruler of Dubai from 2006 to 2008. Jeddah Tower or Burj Jeddah, previously known as Kingdom Tower, is a skyscraper construction project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It is planned to be the first 1 km (3,281 ft) tall building and would be the world's tallest building or structure upon completion, standing 180 m (591 ft) taller than the Burj Khalifa. Located in the north side of Jeddah, it is the centerpiece of the Jeddah Economic City project. After almost five years of inactivity, development work on the project resumed in 2023.

There are many tourist attractions in Dubai, resulting from the large scale construction boom. Dubai received 14 million tourists from all around the world in 2015. Euromonitor ranked the world's 150 most visited cities by international tourists in 2009; Dubai ranked 7th. Dubai welcomed 14.36M visitors in 2022. Dubai's economy relies on many sections of the "state", one of the most important being tourism, in 2014 total 70,475,636 passengers traveled through Dubai Airport. To maintain this important position in the tourism industry they are known to create big and impressive tourist attractions.
George J. Efstathiou, FAIA, RIBA is an American architect of Greek descent. George joined Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, LLP (SOM) in 1974, where he served as Managing Partner and later Consulting Partner in the Chicago office until 2016. He is currently leading the consulting practice of Efstathiou Consulting LLC which serves clients in the architecture, planning, interiors design as well as others in the real estate and corporate communities.

Architecture is influenced by elements of Islamic, Arabian and Persian culture.
