Stuart Campbell McCluskey (born 29 October 1977) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He represented his country, occasionally as captain, at under-19 and under-21 levels.

Career

McCluskey began his career at St Johnstone, with whom he progressed through the youth ranks alongside Danny Griffin and under Paul Sturrock. The defender spent a decade at McDiarmid Park, notching up over a century of league appearances along the way.

In 2004, he joined Clyde, then under the guidance of McCluskey's former teammate in Perth, Alan Kernaghan, until the end of the season. [2]

For the 2004/5 season he joined Greenock Morton, [3] with whom he played one season, before moving back to Tayside to sign with St Johnstone's rivals Dundee, again linking up with Kernaghan, who was the new boss at Dens Park. [4]

In April 2006, McCluskey was one of several players released by Dundee. He was reported to be looking to try his hand in Australia, [5] and in May 2007 joined Melbourne-based Richmond SC, becoming club captain. During the 2008 season he also took up coaching and along with Tony Gignalito coached the Under 16 Richmond junior boys team. [6]

Stefan McCluskey is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Kelty Hearts. McCluskey, who started his career with Blantyre Victoria, has also played for Airdrie United, Shotts Bon Accord, Clyde, Greenock Morton, Peterhead, Alloa Athletic, Pollok, Dumbarton and Forfar Athletic.

Season 2016–17 saw Greenock Morton compete in the Scottish Championship the second tier of Scottish football, having finished fifth in 2015-16. Morton also competed in the Challenge Cup, Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup.

The 2020–21 season will be Dumbarton Football Club's third in Scottish League One, the third tier of Scottish football, having finished sixth in the division in 2019–20. Dumbarton also competed in the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup.
