Stun Siva (born as V. Siva Kumar in 1970), is an Indian fight master & actor who works in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada & Telugu cinema industries of India. [5] [6] He made his debut as a fight master in the movie Love Today in 1997. [7] His sons Kevin Kumar & Steven Kumar are also a fight masters. [8] [9]

Early & Personal Life

Stun Siva was born in 1970 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He was interested in sports & passionate about motorcycles that he became a motorcycle mechanic & learnt to perform stunts with motorcycle. [10]

He wanted to learn martial arts as preparation for his entry into cinema & met a Vietnamese martial arts master on the recommendation of Ramesh, the brother of FEFSI Vijayan & got trained in martial arts.

Stun Siva met a martial artist Lany Hau, the daughter of his martial arts master & proposed her for marriage. Stun Siva & Lany got married in 1997. They have 2 sons Kevin Kumar & Steven Kumar who are also martial artists. Kevin Kumar & Steven Kumar had joined their father Stun Siva as fighters, assistant fight masters & became fight masters. Career

During his initial career as a motorcycle mechanic, Stun Siva got attracted towards cinema when he got acquainted with the fighters, assistant fight masters & fight masters who used to regularly come to a saloon which was located near his garage. In 1989, he joined the South Indian Cine & TV Stunt Directors, Stunt Artists Union with the help of his uncle Natarajan, a fighter specialized in performing motorcycle stunts in movies. He had worked as a fighter to fight masters such as Rambo Rajkumar, FEFSI Vijayan, Vikram Dharma, V. Raja, Judo. K. K. Rathnam, Judo. K. K. Ramu, Rocky Rajesh & Kanal Kannan. Later he worked as an assistant fight master to fight masters such as Rambo Rajkumar & Kanal Kannan. He had performed many highly risky stunts in movies such as Thozhar Pandian , Pudhiya Mannargal & Mr. Romeo & met nearly fatal accidents.

Stun Siva decided to become a fight master & he was given an opportunity by Vijay who got acquainted with him when he had worked as a fighter as well as assistant fight master in some of Vijay's movies such as Deva , Vishnu & Chandralekha . In 1997, he made his debut as a fight master in Love Today . [12] Stun Siva had done both commercially appealing as well as experimental live realistic fight scenes notably in movies such as Kadhalukku Mariyadhai , Kannukkul Nilavu , Nandha , Pithamagan & Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu . [13] [14] [15] In 2000, he had received the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Stunt Coordinator for his work in Kannukkul Nilavu .

In 2015, Stun Siva announced that he will be making his debut as a director in Karate Kaaran the Tamil remake of The Karate Kid introducing both his sons as actors, his wife will be writing the script along with acting & producing the movie. [16]

During his initial career as a fight master, he used to make uncredited appearances & play minor characters in movies. Later he became a full-fledged actor after getting recognized for playing the characters such as Royapuram Mani & Seema Raja in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu & Goli Soda 2 respectively. In 2019, he had received the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award for Best Villain - Male for his villainous performance in Champion . Stun Siva is actively balancing his career both as a fight master & actor.

Vikram Dharma was an Indian action choreographer in the Tamil film industry in Indian cinema. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Action for Yuva. He was the son of fight master R. N. Nambiar who was known for his works in MGR's movies. He worked with actor Kamal Haasan in many films. His working name of "Vikram" was assigned to him once he became acted in Kamal Haasan's movie of the same name in 1986. Stunt masters and Actors like Ponnambalam, Stun Siva, Thalapathy Dinesh, K. Ganesh Kumar, Ram Laxman, Anbariv, Mahanadi Shankar, Besant Ravi, Rajendran, T. Ramesh, Indian Baskar, Rajasekhar, Sai Dheena, Azhagu & Vengal Rao have worked as fighters and assistants to him. He died of a heart attack in early 2006.

A. Rajendran, credited as Motta Rajendran or Naan Kadavul Rajendran, is an Indian stunt double and actor working mainly in Tamil cinema. He debuted in 2003 with the Tamil film Pithamagan and has worked as a stunt double for over 500 South Indian films since then. He played the role of a villain in Naan Kadavul (2009) and has continued to play villainous and later humorous supporting characters in a number of Tamil films. He is noted for his rough voice and alopecia universalis, which he claims was the result of coming into contact with industrial waste during a stunt sequence.

Rocky Rajesh is an Indian fight master, mainly in Tamil cinema also in Malayalam, Kannada & Telugu cinema industries of India. He did the stunts for KhokababuThe Hindu said that his stunt work in the film Daas "looks so dangerous that it is ludicrous when the hero escapes with bruises." and that his work for Vallarasu was one of the assets of the film. He has worked with actor Vijayakanth in many films. Fight masters & Actors like Ponnambalam, Ram Laxman, Stun Siva, Anbariv, Thavasiraj, Vicky, Mirattal Selva, Ghilli Sekar, Rajesh Kanna & Vengal Rao have worked as fighters and assistants to him. His son Thamizh is an actor who made his debut in the film Aimbulan.

Anl Arasu is an Indian fight master/action choreographer, who works in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi film industries. He started his career as an extra fighter and assistant to stunt masters including, Kanal Kannan, Stun Siva, Peter Hein and Jaguar Thangam. His work has received critical acclaim.
