Subhash Sureshchandra Deshmukh (born 12 March 1957) is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).Deshmukh represents the Solapur South constituency in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He served as the Cabinet Minister of Co-Operation, Relief and Rehabilitation in the Government of Maharashtra.

Early life

Subhash Sureshchandra Deshmukh was born on 12 March 1957 in Wadala (North Solapur). He belongs to the family who believes in discipline, education, social commitment and religious accountability. Being primary school teachers, his parents were known for their disciplined personalities. While handling farming, they served for education. Having Wari tradition in the home, he was raised in the devotional atmosphere. He was raised with values such as hard work, discipline, patriotism and social work.

Political career

He took oath as Maharashtra Cabinet Minister on 7 July 2016. He was allotted Ministry of Co-Operation, Relief and Rehabilitation.

Organizational skills and communication skills are his notable qualities. Knowing that unity is the ultimate success, he connected the ones who wanted to work for the progress of Solapur.

His thoughts on addiction free youth, healthy body for social welfare, utilization of money for good deeds, trouble-free problem solving, patriotism, collective efforts against corruption etc. are inspiring today's youth.

Although a parliamentary democracy, Indian politics has increasingly become dynastic, possibly due to the absence of a party organization, independent civil society associations that mobilize support for the party, and centralized financing of elections. Family members have also led the Congress party for most of the period since 1978 when Indira Gandhi floated the then Congress(I) faction of the party. It also is fairly common in many political parties in Maharashtra. The dynastic phenomenon is seen from national level down to district level and even village level.The three-tier structure of Panchayati Raj established in the 1960s also helped to create and consolidate the dynastic phenomenon in rural areas. Apart from government,political families also control cooperative institutions, mainly cooperative sugar factories,district cooperative banks in the state, and since the 1980s private for profit colleges. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party also features several senior leaders who are dynasts. In Maharashtra, the NCP has particularly high level of dynasticism.

Ramdas Tadas is member of 16th Lok Sabha representing Wardha in Maharashtra state of India. He was member of Maharashtra Legislative Council as member of Nationalist Congress Party. Later he moved to BJP in 2009 and contested Deoli Assembly seat of Maharashtra and loss by Ranjit Kamble. He was Vice President of Bhartiya Janata Party Maharashtra State Unit with President and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

After formation of Washim District he has hold on Washim Jilha Parishad, Risod Municipal Council, Malegaon Nagar Panchayat. He when in Congress was known as Washim District Congress Godfather. He has connection in all villeges, cities of Washim District. He entered BJP with his son Nakul Anantrao Deshmukh and Chaitanya Anantrao Deshmukh on 14 March 2023 due to negligence of Congress on him though he had lot of power in district and good connections in all over India. He was classmate of Rajesh Pilot and Madhavrao Sindia. He has good connections with late Rajiv Gandhi, Sushilkumar Shinde, Pruthviraj Chavhan, late Vilasrao Deshmukh, Devendra Fadnavis, Chandrashekhar Bavankule, Rajendra Patni etc.
