Sudan International University (SIU), is a private university founded in 1990, and located in [2] Khartoum, Sudan. The university has been accredited by the Sudan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Libraries

The university has one big library that contains approximately 6000 books from various interests of the humanities, medical and health sciences that help students to obtain information in an easy and comfortable way. The university also has an electronic library with computers that has access to internet.

Campuses

The buildings of Sudan International University are located in the state of Khartoum, where the buildings are distributed in the cities of Arquette and Al-Azhari. City of Al-Azhari has the Medical and Engineering Complex, where the buildings of Arquette include the Faculties of Tourism and Hotel and the Faculties of Computer Science and Economics, etc.

Accreditation

Sudan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research currently provides accreditation to the university. [3]

The University of Medical Sciences and Technology (UMST) is a co-educational mainly medical oriented college in Khartoum, Sudan. The mission of UMST is to serve the educational needs of Sudanese, African and Arab students. It is located in the Riyad district of Khartoum. It first opened its doors in 1995 with a student body of only forty students and two faculties. In 2017 it had become home to 5,000-6,000 students and costs US$15,000 for the school of medicine in 2018. The university has 14 faculties. In 2014 the University stated that 60% of its students were foreign.

The University St. Kliment Ohridski in Bitola is a public university in North Macedonia. Headquartered in Bitola, it also has faculties in Prilep, Ohrid, Veles, Kichevo and Skopje. Future University (FU), formerly known as Computer Man College or (CMC), is the first specialized Information and communications technology university in Sudan. Since its establishment in 1991 as Computer Man College, it was considered the first college to introduce an Information Technology program in the region, and within the country, it was the first to introduce a Computer Engineering program and the second to introduce the Telecommunication Engineering and Architecture & Design programs. It was upgraded to a university in August 2010 by the Sudan Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The university adopts the credit hours system in its education process, one of the first educational institutes to implement this system in Sudan. It is the first private academic institution in Sudan hosting a UNESCO chair. Currently, the university contains seven faculties, each offering several programs.

Cyprus West University is a non-profit university located in Famagusta, Northern Cyprus was established in 2015. Cyprus West University has five faculties, three schools, and 20 different undergraduate and associate programs are offered in English and Turkish Languages. Cyprus West University is accredited by YÖK, Turkish Republic Higher Education Board and YÖDAK, The Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and coordination Council of Northern Cyprus, and approved by TRNC Ministry of National Education and Culture.
