Sudesh Dhankhar (born, 20 July 1956), is the former Second lady of India from 2022 to 2025 until the resignation of her husband former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar. She formerly served as the First Lady of West Bengal. She holds a PhD in Economics from Banasthali Vidyapith, which she was awarded in 2022. Her thesis focused on groundwater conservation and sustainable development in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. She completed her pre-university, bachelor's, and master's degrees from the same institution. [1] [2]
She completed her pre-university course, bachelor's and master's from Banasthali Vidyapith. Between 2013 and 2022, she pursued a PhD at Banasthali Vidyapith. She presented her thesis on groundwater conservation in Jhunjhunu district and was awarded the degree in 2022 .
