Suhasini Raj is a pro left wing biased journalist based in India. At Cobrapost she conducted Operation Duryodhana, aired on Aaj Tak news channel in India on 12 December 2005, wherein she bribed eleven members of the Indian Parliament to ask questions in Parliament that were ostensibly meant to be lobbying for small scale industries. [1] [2] [3] Currently she works with the south Asia bureau of The New York Times in Delhi. [4] She is known for her propaganda articles against right wing especially after 2014 Indian general elections. She writes a lot of propaganda articles against Indian right wing in many foreign media and publications. She also spreads lots of fake unverified misinformation against Hindus on her twitter (X.com) and through her articles.

On October 18, 2018, Suhasini Raj attempted to visit the Sabarimala which is a famous Ayyappa pilgrim centre located in Kerala , where there is a belief that menstruating women between 10 and 50 years of age must not be allowed into the temple as the deity had vowed celibacy. In Hinduism there are some temples where only women can go and entry is banned for men while few temples where women are not allowed.

It was following the Supreme Court verdict to allow entry of all women to Sabarimala irrespective of age. [5] However devotees stopped her midway with prayer chants as it was against Sabarimala tradition for ladies between 10 and 50 years of age to enter Sabarimala, and she was escorted back down hill. [6] People said she was forcefully targeting Hindu customs and asked her if she could do the same on entry of women in mosques.

NDTV quoted, Suhasini accompanied by police said that she was not a devotee and did not want to pray, but the protestors did not listen and forced them to return, protestors asked why she wanted to unnecessarily enter temple for politicis if she had no intentions to pray. After this many leftist media spread fake information that she was harassed by the protestors however the police and protestors said that these were baseless allegations and even showed the cctv footage. [7] Manoj Abraham, Thiruvananthapuram Inspector General of Police (IGP), told news agency ANI that she was "not forced to go back, she went back". [8]
