Sulekha Narayan Kumbhare (born 1962) is an Indian politician, lawyer and Ambedkarite-Buddhist activist. She is founder and president of the Bahujan Republican Ekta Manch. She served as cabinet minister from 1999 to 2014 in the Government of Maharashtra. [1] Kumbhare was member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly (1999 to 2004) from the Kamthi constituency in Nagpur district as Republican Party of India. [2] [3] [4] She is a member of the National Commission for Minorities. [5] She is an Ambedkarite, and spends the rest of her life in propagating Buddhism. [5] [6] [7]

Following differences over the government formation, the alliance was dissolved, precipitating a political crisis.

He started his political career in the Shirpur as an independent politician, and was the President of Shirpur Municipal Corporation, a four-time legislator from Shirpur as an Indian National Congress candidate, who has never lost an assembly election, and was also a state government cabinet minister. He joined Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019.
