Metal Health is the third studio album by the American heavy metal band Quiet Riot, released on February 28, 1983. The album spawned two hit singles: the Slade cover "Cum On Feel the Noize" and "Metal Health". It was the band's first album to receive a worldwide release, as the first two were released only in Japan.
Summoning is an Austrian atmospheric black metal band based in Vienna. Since their formation in 1993, they have released eight full-length albums and two EPs via Napalm Records. Their lyrics make extensive use of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth writings and mythology. Since 1995, their lineup has had a consistent lineup of Richard Lederer as "Protector" and Michael Gregor as "Silenius". Meshuggah is a Swedish extreme metal band formed in Umeå in 1987. Since 2004, the band's lineup consists of founding members Jens Kidman and Fredrik Thordendal, alongside rhythm guitarist Mårten Hagström, drummer Tomas Haake and bassist Dick Lövgren. Morningrise is the second studio album by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth. The recording sessions took place at Unisound studio, in Finspång, during March and April 1996. Katatonia is a Swedish heavy metal band formed in Stockholm in 1991 by Jonas Renkse and Anders Nyström. The band started as a studio-only project for the duo, as an outlet for the band's love of death metal. Increasing popularity led them to add more band members for live performances, though outside of the band's founders, the lineup was a constantly changing, revolving door of musicians throughout the 1990s, notably including Mikael Åkerfeldt of the band Opeth for a period. After two death/doom albums, Dance of December Souls (1993) and Brave Murder Day (1996), problems with Renkse's vocal cords coupled with new musical influences led the band away from the screamed vocals of death metal to a more traditional, melodic form of heavy metal music.

It is a repackaged version of The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome which was released in the UK, Europe and across the rest of the world in December 1983. Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply reached No. 33 in the US and No. 26 in Canada, giving the band their breakthrough in the US. The album proved to be the most successful North American release of Slade's career. Both "Run Runaway" and "My Oh My" enjoyed Top 40 success as singles there.
Evernight is the fourth studio album by the Finnish heavy metal band Battlelore, released in 2007. As previously, the songs are all based on J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. Overall the sound of the album was darker and denser than the band's earlier releases with a much thicker and heavier guitar sound. The album also was more consistent in sound with less variation between songs to present a more cohesive piece of work. In this album the band choose not to use names and direct references to Tolkien's legendarium to make the lyrics accessible to a broader audience.

Daybreaker was co-produced by the band and Ben Humphreys at Outhouse Studios in Reading, Berkshire, and used the same team and studio that were used for recording the band's third studio album, Hollow Crown.
