Sunaryati Hartono, [1] S.H. (born Carolina Felicita Gerardine Sunaryati Sastrowardoyo; 7 July 1931) is an Indonesian attorney, lawyer, professor of law and government official. She has been vice chairman of the National Ombudsman Commission of Indonesia since 2000.
In 1985, as part of the ASEAN Law Association's Law Professional Exchange Programme, Hartono visited ASEAN member states to give lectures on the legal system of Indonesia. [2] The two other lecturers were Ricardo Puno, justice minister of the Philippines and Apirat Petchsiri of Thailand.
Hartono was Indonesia's delegate to CEDAW in the late 1990s. [3]
On 20 March 2000, President Abdurrahman Wahid issued a presidential decree establishing the National Ombudsman Commission. "The Commission was established to help create and develop a conducive climate for the fight against corruption, collusion and nepotism, along with the protection of the rights of the general public in receiving public services, justice and better welfare. The Commission has the mandate to receive, investigate, and follow through reports from the general public concerning the protection of their rights and the services provided by the Government." [4] Eight commission members were installed by the president at the Jakarta State Palace, including Antonius Sujata as chairman and Hartono as vice chairman.
Hartono is the eldest daughter of Soenario (1902–1997), Indonesian minister of foreign affairs in the mid-1950s and ambassador to the court of St. James, and Dina Maria Geraldine Maranta (née Pantouw) Soenario [1] [5] (?–1995). A sister, Astrid Susanto, deputy chairwoman of the People's Representative Council's Commission I, died in 2006. One younger sister, Sunardien, is an economist and her youngest sister, Wuryastuti Sunario, is managing director of the Indonesia Tourism Promotion Board. A brother, Irawan Sunario, lives in Jakarta.

Soenario Sastrowardoyo, more commonly known simply as Soenario, was an Indonesian politician, and diplomat, who served as the 7th Foreign Minister of Indonesia, from 1953 until 1955, during the First Ali Sastroamidjojo cabinet, under Prime Minister Ali Sastroamidjojo. He was one of Indonesia's leading figures during the Indonesian independence movement and served as an administrator for the Perhimpoenan Indonesia association in the Netherlands.

Iskaq Tjokrohadisurjo was an Indonesian politician and advocate. A member of the Indonesian National Party, he served as Minister of Economic Affairs and Minister of Home Affairs during the 1950s. Hailing from Jombang Regency and being educated in law, he received higher education at Leiden University after a five-year career in various colonial courts. Iskaq was one of the earliest native Indonesian advocates during the Dutch colonial period, founding multiple law offices across the country. He also took part in the nationalist movement, being a co-founder of the Indonesian National Party and being arrested along with its other leaders in 1929.
Sujono Hadinoto was an Indonesian politician, ambassador, academic, and lawyer. Born in Blora Regency, he studied law in the Rechts Hogeschool. After graduating, he became active in the Indonesian independence movement. During the Indonesian National Revolution, Sujono became a member of the Indonesian National Party, later serving as party chairman from 1947 until 1950. Following the recognition of Indonesian sovereignty in 1949, he served as Minister of Economic Affairs in the Soekiman Cabinet. He later became dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia. In 1964, he was appointed to the Supreme Advisory Council by Sukarno, and in 1966, he was appointed Ambassador of Indonesia to Hungary. He served as ambassador until 1970. He died on 29 December 1977 in Jakarta and was buried in Bogor.
Frans Eddy Thanos was an Indonesian army officer who served as the General Secretary of the Army Staff from 1960 until 1962. He wrote several books during his career in the army and became a candidate for the People's Representative Council in the 1999 Indonesian legislative election.
