Farida Akhtar Poppy, known by her stage name Babita, is a Bangladeshi film actress. For instance, Chakma cinema from Bandarban, Garo cinema from Sherpur, Meitei and Sylheti cinema from Sylhet, Chatgaiya cinema from Chattogram. These regional cinemas play a crucial role in preserving and promoting the linguistic and cultural heritage of the country. The dominant style of Bangladeshi cinema is melodramatic cinema, which developed from 1947 to 1990 and characterizes most films to this day. Cinema was introduced in Bangladesh in 1898 by the Bradford Bioscope Company, credited to have arranged the first film release in Bangladesh. Between 1913 and 1914, the first production company, Picture House, was opened. A 1928 short silent film titled Sukumari was the first Bengali-produced film in the region. The first full-length film, The Last Kiss, was released in 1931.
Chowdhury Muhammad Shahriar Emon, known by his stage name Salman Shah, was a Bangladeshi film and television actor and model. Referred in the media as the "Prince of Bangladeshi Cinema", "Hero of Heroes" and the "First Superstar of Modern Dhallywood", he is commonly regarded as one of the most talented, popular, influential and iconic figures in Bangladesh's film history. Shah appeared in 27 films in a short acting career of three years, many of which were successful. He first gained attention for his debut film, Keyamat Theke Keyamat (1993), and in the following three years appeared in leading roles in a series of commercially successful films, including Bikkhobh, Denmohor, Shujon Shokhi, Shopner Thikana, Ei Ghor Ei Shongsar, Sotter Mrittu Nei and Anondo Osru which established him as one of the most sought after leading men in the industry. Subsequently, he became the highest paid actor in the industry. Three of his films, Shopner Thikana, Sotter Mrittu Nei and Keyamat Theke Keyamat are among the top ten highest grossing films of all time in Dhallywood box office.
SM Aslam Talukder Manna, known by his stage name Manna (মান্না), was a Bangladeshi film actor and producer.
Samina Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi singer. She mostly sings modern and classical songs. Her notable songs include Jonmo Theke Jolchi Mago, Amar Buker Moddhyekhane, Amar Dui Chokhe Dui Nodi, Ekbar Jodi Keu, Kobita Porar Prohor and Phool Phote Phool Jhore.
Amar Bondhu Rashed is a film directed by Morshedul Islam, known for making indie movies. Adapted from the novel of same name Amar Bondhu Rashed by Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, the story narrates the courageous actions by schoolboy Rashed, told from the perspective of his friend Ibu, during the Bangladesh Liberation war. The movie was released on 1 April 2011. The music was composed and directed by Rizvi Hasan.
Yeasmin Jahan Tareen, commonly known as Tareen Jahan, is a Bangladeshi actress, model and singer. She is mostly known for her acting career in the television dramas and telefilms. In 1985, she stood first at the reality television competition program Notun Kuri for acting, dancing and storytelling divisions. She won Meril Prothom Alo Awards three times for her roles in Kotha Chhilo Onnorokom (2006), Maya (2007) and Green Velvet (2012).

He acted in more than 200 films and is known as the first action hero of Dhallywood.He is widely known as action king of Dhallywood Bangladesh cinema due to popularizing fight scenes with his own direction.
Moniruzzaman Monir is a Bangladeshi music lyricists. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Lyrics three times in 1988, 1989 and 1990. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2004 by the Government of Bangladesh. He has written songs for 196 films.

Delwar Jahan Jhantu is a Bangladeshi film director, producer, lyricist, composer, screenwriter, story-writer, Film editor, cinematographer, music director and a freedom fighter. He made his directorial debut with the film Leader, he also produced it. His first directorial released was Bonduk, and it was released on 1978. As of 2 August 2019 he has directed 75 films in more than four decades of his career, which is the highest directorial venture of any single director in Bangladeshi film and has written screenplays for more than 350 films. He won the National Film Awards as Best screenplay for the film Goriber Raja.
